How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The single factor for this hotel not receiving an exceptional rating is the very mediocre breakfast offered. I suppose one should not complain about what is offered for "free" however it was so subpar, I actually skipped it. An air freshener is used in the rooms during the cleaning process that leaves a pungent order. There is also only one ice machine to service the entire hotel. I was always able to fill my ice bucket but wonder if this might be the case in the hot summer months.
Hostess for check in was personable, cheerful and accommodating - offered a free upgrade to a spacious room with king size bed at check in! The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the location is great. The room is equipped with refrigerator and microwave, with good light fixtures for bedside reading.

Rm 121 door key didn't work, so we couldn't get back into room after breakfast. Maintenance guy didn't show. Staff Julie and Alicia went above and beyond to get the door open, but it took over 30 minutes. I'm awaiting return call from hotel manager.. That was unacceptable Kudos to the staff that helped solve our problem. Thumbs down to management.

It's a noisy location.

ONE AND ONLY COMPLAINT, was the pool, was a super hot day and we were really looking forward to a swim, Got ready and went to the pool which was a bit dirty, bottom was filthy, stuck a foot in and left =( Understanding it get very windy in Chico too, so I am sure that was a factor.
The staff at this location was AMAZING, friendly and very informative. Super polite from the time we checked in until the morning we left! Willing to assist and really provided exceptional customer service, I will be back!

No comfortable chair to relax in while watching tv. Very stiff and hard. Could not connect laptop to internet.

Breakfast had lots of options: cereals, waffles, toast, prepackaged items. Disappointed that it didn't have eggs or other typical hot breakfast items.
The room was great - plenty of drawers, good lighting, ground floor with handicap parking right in front of room. Concierge (PONY!) was very friendly and helpful.

The location was fine. Back in the day it was "iffy," but it has grown and changed. The hotel was very clean. Our host Poney and hostess were very friendly and efficient. We are going back there on our way home in a few days.

I was next to the ice machine and it was pretty loud. You can also hear any car that pulls into the hotel parking lot. I kept my fan on to avoid hearing those noises. The outside of the building needs a paint job. The clothing iron didn't get hot enough.

The parking is a mess, made mainly for small cars, and not enough for all of the people staying. I drove a pickup and it was almost impossible to use the parking spaces with other vehicles around.
The staff was professional and friendly, the rooms were clean, the location is great.

TV reception was bad. But we weren't in the room for that long. Didn't love the showerheads. Maybe a dip in CLR would help.
Staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and super helpful. Room was comfortable. I felt very safe staying there w/ my son. Parking lot noise was louder than expected but I was able to sleep. Breakfast was modest, but perfect if on the run.
