Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis hotel is in bad shape and needs some obvious repairs. The front desk tried to stick us in an old, smoky closet looking room. It was obvious the door had been kicked in before. Went to the office. No apologies but gave us another room. 2nd room- the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on the wall, had poor patch jobs for holes in the wall, and one of the bed frames was broken.
Great location. We went to a concert at the Ball Arena.

United StatesI misread this and put what I didn’t like above. What I did like was the location close to the stadium for the Taylor Swift concert. Also there was ample parking. So grateful.
Came for the Taylor swift concert. Location was perfect. Two of us have celiac disease and must eat gluten free and there were zero options for us at breakfast. Some hard boiled eggs and ananas would have gone a long way. Instead we went out for breakfast for $33. Also the toilet wouldn’t always flush so we had to take the lid off the tank and work it from inside the tank. For $189 I expected so much more.

United StatesOld elevator looks like it’s going to break and it smells gross . It looks like it was also made poorly . The bathroom was kind of gross looking and the wall was pretty dirty . We couldn’t even barely get in our room because the door was like old or broken or something . The walls are so thin I could hear people next door downstairs on the balcony all night long , all the way until I checked out . Even though there was a couple of lights it was still pretty dim . The curtain to window doors wouldn’t even fully close I had to pin the two together with a Bobby pin just so there wasn’t a crack where you can look into our hotel room . The chair that was in our room looked really old and dirty . It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years . It has spots on it and you can tell it’s really old. A lot of the furniture looked old and almost ready to give out . There was only a mini trash can , not another one in the bathroom . And the trash can had a bud light can in it and hadn’t been changed out. Sad for the amount of money we paid for . The parking lot is also confusing as well . One of the staff members seemed like they could’ve been more professional or nice .
It had a mini fridge and bath appliances in the bathroom .

United StatesAttempted to charge card 2 times prior to arrival without knowledge. Staff ghetto & elaborate attempt to have not stay at hotel. Lied said only accepted credit cards & chip reader broken. Had to call Priceline.com while in lobby. Told to have card ran as credit staff said no ability to run as credit. Then told to pay cash unimbursed $3 ATM fee. ATM maximum withdrawal $200 but price over $200. Watched as several customers processed with credit cards. Not allowed to check in until 3PM but checking drama took additional hour. Chip reader never broken. Room & hotel NOT the same as photos on website. Attempted to upgrade room so second bed that partially blocked bathroom door. Microwave kept cutting off. Had to unplug & move several items plugged into extension cord. Couldn't keep refrigerator on. AC worked when wanted to. Water pressure decreased when turned on hot water. Watched news couple days later say video of man coming out hotel lobby shooting at cop & cop shot him to death. Homeless people & druggie all around. Manager present during the entirety of staff member booking attempt to have not stay at hotel. Staff ghetto, liars & hate if have spouse romantically interested in.

United StatesThe room was bare bones. NO DEADBOLT contrary to what was described on the website and what was posted in the room. There was no privacy curtain, just a thin "veil" to let light on. I had to put the shower curtain up to ensure no one could clearly see through. There was dust and whatnot in the shower and the towels were not clean. The fridge was not cold (Rip mochi ice cream). I ended up sleeping fine but it was odd not having a blackout privacy curtain. Not having a deadbolt on the door was also unnerving. Overall, the price of $137 did not guarantee a basic and decent service of stay. It was quite disappointing.
Breakfast was decent. Below your typical continental but you did leave full. I ended up sleeping very well despite minimal covers. (see "Didn't Like " section)(

AustriaIt is obvious that this place was cheaply designed and built right from the beginning. The big gap under the entrance door ensures you can feel the weather out there in your bedroom. There are color stains on the door woods evidently still from the construction time, it never got cleaned. The gaps in the bathroom and many edges shows there was not much effort done when it was built. This place definitely needs a complete renovation and thorough cleaning, the overworked housekeeping staff cannot do all that. Of course, the room rate is cheapest in the location, but that shows off over the top here at that place.
The location is fantastic, and the price is very affordable. The place is easy to reach and everything of interest is in walking distance. Not far from the rooms is a great nighttime view to downtown. Lots of restaurants of all kinds are all in walking distance, including the Union station that connects to the airport by train - very convenient to use.

United StatesI read the hotel was used as homeless shelter in the past years, which explains the conditions of some of the facilities of the hotel. First of all, searching the address in either Google Maps or Apple maps shows you a wrong entrance, you may find it difficult to locate the lobby. The hotel is under staffed, took them long time to check me in. There is no breakfast despite it was listed in the description.
The location of the hotel is close to downtown and attractions.

Some light switches without function. Wrong information about breakfast times which resulted in me coming in too late and I didn't get any breakfast after my first night. No staff at reception upon checkout with no instructions or way to contact left.

United StatesI wasn't given the room I booked because "they were painting". So I booked a King room, and instead got a room with 2 full size beds. There was hair in the bathtub, sink, and floor. I've been a hotel housekeeper before, that is unacceptable. There was also a ton of ants (I did not even bring food into the room, there was none), and they seemed to be coming from the ripped out baseboards. The elevator is super outdated and sketchy. The one redeeming quality about my stay was the great view of the city I had, which was luck more than anything, considering that wasn't the room I booked. Almost $300 for 2 nights. There are ways this hotel could improve, but all in all it just seemed disorganized. I didn't have a sign for maid service to put on my door, never could track down a housekeeper, so didn't get to get some fresh towels like I wanted. Overall, I don't think I'd stay here again honestly. The value could have been better, but I think for the proximity to downtown, I *guess* I understand why they're charging so much. But more than likely, I'd spend the extra money on a cleaner room maybe even a bit closer to downtown, although it was about 5min drive. The bar of soap in the bathroom was crumbled to pieces and still in its package and I had to wash my hands with pieces of broken soap. There was just a lot of little things that were clearly overlooked. I did not find any bedbugs at least, but there was a ton of ants for no explicable reason.
View.

United StatesThey were remodeling, so there was alot of the work still being done . The floor was not the cleanest due to remodeling. the tv changer had lots of sticky stuff on it . The bathroom sink was loose so had to hold it down to turn on . Their was no tv info. sheet to know the channels and the guide on the tv did not work. The clerks at the front desk were not friendly the women would not hardly speak to me, the only guy working the desk was nice and it seemed like he was doing most of the work . The ceiling in the room had webs hanging . The location was good but parking had lots to be desired. Not sure i would of stay here if i had known of the remodeling going on . They also held a fifty dollar charge for airing out the room if there was a problem with canabis smoking in a non smoking room, this was a surprise cost which they would refund if the room check out ok after check out .
the location was good .

USAMotel had plumbing issues so they could not get us a room. Due to this they had us go to a different motel - we asked to stay close to our venue (Ball Arena) so we could get to our event on time but we were sent to one far away (over 30 mins) from the venue which we did not know until we started driving. Once we realized we called & requested a different motel staff was very rude & called the wrong one to set us up so when we got to where we thought we were staying they had no room for us. At this point we were told they could not accommodate us & we were being difficult (by asking to stay close to a certain venue which is why we even booked with them to begin with). Long story short we did not even stay in any room & had to drive home after the event we were attending. Staff (Pablo) was very rude. We have made several attempts to try & get a refund since we never stayed in any room but so far Pablo (who claims to be general manager) refuses to give us one, has continued being extremely rude, & will not give us anyone else to contact.

United KingdomHaving to go to a different hotel twice, without as little an email or text, to find out both hotels were 4 miles from the city centre meaning spending extra on Ubers when an all day bus & train ticket cost £10.90. Getting to one of the hotels, no coffee making facilities in the room or hotel that night so having to go to a local petrol station. The breakfast was a bowl of cereal, no hot food. I was disgusted with the service and will be asking to be compensated as I will not be using your company again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
