How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

-Pillow case smelled sort of old and badly wringled -Peice of condom wrap on floor which did not belong to me or my guest. -Tv remote was not working properly. -The noise from hallway very loud, probably doors could be a bit more sound proof.
-Staff was nice and completed my requests promptly -shower was clean and put together. -overall clean in elevator and lobby areas.

For 3 people in a room, there are no closet space to hang our clothes, they only have hook on a wall hanger. There are only few selection of breakfast items in their cafeteria. Coffee is bland, the 3 in 1 instant coffee we brought on our own taste a lot better. There are no eggs (protein) nor fruits which should be a staple for breakfast. Overall we rate the facility with one star only.

Smell of weed hits you up every night, plus you'll hear everything happening in every other room and the highway across (trucks and cars). I had to give up on one night and pay another hotel to go sleep there and catch up some sleep and clean place.

Room was extremely small. Barely space to move around. The hotel was noisy all night. Breakfast was BAD. Very simple options. Cereal but no milk and no o e around to get me any.

The elevator was not working I had a bad knee and had to walk her three flights and steps and also to use the microwave it was downstairs in the basement. The lobby in the basement where the microwave is smells like a ton of roach spray. The room was very small the bed was up on the AC the TV was very close to the bed.
The staff was very nice.

Rooms were outdated and in dire need of renovation. The desk chair in room was peeling. Location is not great under highway. Elevator was broken for 2 out of 3 days and staff did not provide a discount after informing staff. They said they would relay to manager and never heard back. They charged me $30 more per day for a room with 2 beds. Breakfast was terrible and had to buy breakfast from outside even-though included in rate.they served white bread and bagels to toast with cream cheese, butter and jelly that were not good bagels and cereal. The breakfast area is in the basement and as cold in there as if you were outside and not welcoming. You will need to wear a coat to tolerate being down there to toast your bagel. I believe hot breakfast was advertised on booking.com which was not accurate.

The cleanliness was poor. Bathroom was pretty mouldy, the furnishings were in bad condition, the hallway was very echoey/loud and hot all the time. I also never received my deposit back which the hotel said it would be refunded in 5-10 business days.
The bed was comfortable and hotel was close to transit.

Mold in the bathroom, kindness of other staff under average. Breakfast worst ever seen.
One member of staff was very kind and showed why there were temporary three (announced) credit card payments.

Dirty towels, mold-like residue in shower, very tiny room, a lot of dust, not clean, I’m not a picky person but having a clean white towel would be appreciated. The guy at the reception brought us 8 towels in total and they were all stained… there was dust and mildue everywhere. Such a loud room, but I guess that’s part of NYC, overall really feel like I overpaid for not a whole lot

Everything was good only it was far from most things. Could have had a little more variety to breakfast like eggs, yogurt and different kinds of bread.
Staff was friendly we checked in a bit earlier than our actual time and room was ready. Bed was comfortable house cleaning was daily and towels were changed daily if you asked. Nice breakfast no eggs which I would have liked but fine. It was far from most things but very quiet where our room was. Excellent.
