Perfect location! Easy walk to downtown Main Street and to campus area. Beautiful and stylish hotel with art gallery, dining, fun gift retail, and a great rooftop. Thoughtful accommodations, loved the sound machine. Friendly, helpful staff.

The only issue we had was the air temperature control. We woke multiple times during the night because it got hot (75 degrees). Not sure how to keep the temp when there is no movement in the room.

Love the decor and space in the hotel. Great people. Nice breakfast choices; could use a bit more indoor seating .

The managers and staff completely loved our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gus —- totally spoiled him! Our room was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. Loved the floor to ceiling windows in our deluxe king room and the electric window shades. The lobby lounge was ver comfortable and stylish for happy hour and the valet staff were very helpful and prompt. We also enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch at the Pink Grouse before our departure. We will definitely visit this hotel again when we return to Charlottesville!

Good breakfast but needed more simpler options, like fresh fruit. Thanksgiving dinner was mixed - some options didnt work like beet salad with strange leaves and hard to find beets. Good service.

The receptionist staff were amateurs in hospitality and felt like they were there to do just the minimum of checking you in and checking you out. Perfectly polite but expected them to be more professional and friendly.

Cargo train line, electric transformer next door make it loud; complicated shades on floor-to-ceiling windows often fail to work; café in atmospheric old house had no heat (!); percolating coffee maker system not convincing

Front desk staff could not answer any questions. Rooftop bar closed for private event. Breakfast is not in the dining room but on a porch. You have to pay for valet separately.

the downstairs bar was not super friendly - nor quick, nor were we charged the correct prices. The walls in hotel pretty thin

Lovely clean bright new hotel - with interesting and comforting decor, minimalistic, and fantastic roof bar which the hostess was limiting and discouraging people from going to although it was empty mostly for the 2 hours during sunset we were there. She made it hard to sit out there - but im glad we went out to just look and sit at bar. I liked the bed and pillows but we didn't see a noise machine til too late - could hear tv from both adjacent rooms. elevators fast.
