Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt is not the oyo but a day inn, and they would not honor the reservation. If I wanted to stay there, it would be a new reservation. He told me to go look at the room. It was a disaster. The TV did not work, same with the refrigerator. No towels and the worst case of roaches I had ever seen.

United StatesI have been booking with booking.com for a really long time. An I am currently done with them over this hotel. I Booked as normal, arrive to my hotel only to discover it has changed the name to motel 6 and they refuse to honor my booking. They said they had just been purchased an had a name change. Refuse to give me a refund. I called booking.com for 3 days before I was able to speak to someone. Booking.com then Told me an sent me an email saying they would refund my money within 3 to 5 days. Well here we are over a week later an still no refund. The agent I spoke to today said they never even started the refund process an was rude af. I asked to speak to a manager an he refused, he said theyll say the same thing I am an hung up.

United StatesEverything in the room was dirty when we got there, the sheets the towels the bathroom. The shower actually was completely broken when we got there too and the whole faucet came off and was shooting water out at shin height. It was just not a nice hotel but that’s what you get for the cheapest option.
There wasn’t much positive about this stay, the staff were helpful but it’s rated extremely low for a reason.
