The hotel has LOTS of deferred maintenance, but the rooms are very clean.

Dirty parking lot with trash and huge "lake" to dive through at entrance, secuity locking doors on ends of building did not work at all, security door hasp in my room broken and it looked as if the room had been broken into sometime before my visit, wake up call did not come, rooms are loud as the are roadside with thin curtains.

Well...check in was decent.

Hotel needs significant repairs but worth it at the current rate. I certainly would not pay more. The rooms are the bright spot, they are clean. The shower only had cold water. The hotel staff is rude and non-communicative (so much can be avoided when they just forewarn you at the counter), there is no elevator, didn't try breakfast, etc.

They are renovating it right now, which is nice to know, but they started at like 8am right outside our room door. Which was annoying because we didn't get in till midnight and wanted to sleep in. That should have waited till at least check out time. Beds are still hard as a rock. Woke up with really bad back hurting. The breakfast is only coffee, travel size juice and some granola bars. Not very convenient for someone who has no teeth. Or small kids. That could be better. Entrance parking lot is still big ass pot holes. That needs fixing before someone pop's a tire. Hopefully the renovation goes well but, think of the comfort of guess not just the look of the place!

The staff is very friendly. Our room was decent.

The room decor was NOT good. The wallpaper strips were falling off & in some places it was completely missing. The room refridge would periodically make loud noises for a minute or so - enough to wake me from sleep in the night.

I liked that for the most part it was clean & had cute holiday decorations put out.

First, the water smells very metallic. It must be well water so I'm not sure the hotel can do much about it. I ended up washing my hair and face at my grandmother's and brushing my teeth with bottled water. The room I stayed in was very run down and not very clean in certain areas. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, the bath spout and knob faceplate didn't look like they had been cleaned in a while, and there was something sticky on the bathroom floor. The bed seemed clean thankfully. The bed was rock hard and I like firm mattresses. The towels were small and like sand paper. I was at the end of the hall by an outside door. Twice, the door was propped open. I told the front desk the first time and she responded that "the workers prop it open all of the time so they don't have to go through the front door" and she would shut it; which she did. I didn't say anything the second time and just made sure I was locked in tight. I'm not sure who these workers were since there was no work being done that I could see and it was late at night. A couple of times there were some sketchy people outside smoking but they seemed nice enough. Maybe they were the workers? Unfortunately, this is the only option in Kentland. The only saving grace is the price. Next time, I'm going to see if there are other options in nearby towns.

The entrance doorway was cluttered, untidy and noisy with hanging screeching skeleton and body bag among other unpleasant halloween stuff leaving the place looking messy, untidy and unwelcoming. Breakfast really wasn't Breakfast. Lack of information from receptionist.

The Halloween 'decorations' were way over the top, like something from a horror movie - in early october. There was no smiling welcome from the receptionist on arrival with no info about any facilities available such as coffee table. 'Breakfast was one item from the tray each, such as wrapped muffin or piece of fruit. Sheets weren't particularly clean and weren't pressed, so it looked like someone could have slept there before us.

Very old facility everything needs to be replaced or updated. Water smells so bad windows need replaced tubs. Need replaced old beds. I guess I don’t understand how Wyndham. Corporation wants anything to do with this facility. Definitely bad for their name.
