Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesToilet felt like it was 2" off the ground, bathroom caulking needs to be replaced, mattress clearly had burn holes dispite their being "100% NO SMOKING" Out of 4 ice machines only the 1st floor was functional. Absolutely NO breakfast although they did have free coffee available in the kitchenette area
Check in was really quick and because I went during off season, I was able to check in early. Room as a whole looked clean. Was on the 4th floor which was amazing.

United Statessurprised that there was no microwave and frig in the room. Was told we had to upgrade for them. But a iron and ironing board was included. I requested ground floor because of bad knees, but was put on 3rd floor. That was fine until the elevator rgat was very close to our room and was broke for the rest of our stay. Other elevator was at opposite end of hall. Ice machines on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors seemed to be out of order all the time. And the breakfast was only coffee and the old buffet had never been resummed after covid. The website did not say there was buffet.

United StatesThe Red Roof Inn was fine, but it definitely was an older building inside and out. The pool was fine except there were no clear signs on how to get outside to the pool. . I overlooked the fact that it did not have a mini fridge or small coffee maker, but that is my fault. It was fine for a one night stay, but when I return to Myrtle Beach, I will stay elsewhere. .
The beds were super comfortable and the small pool was fine for splashing around. The workers were very friendly.
