There is a smell of weed at the corridor and i have to close the curtain all the time because it is at the corridor side

The entrance to the property is on one side of a divided road, which is horribly annoying. Any other complaints (i.e. negative bathroom ambiance, disappointing television) are endemic to Red Roof's brand and not emblematic of this branch in particular.

Every Red Roof offers a pretty similar experience- a dressed-down but serviceable room with the requisite amenities (TV, fridge, shower, safe, Internet) to acceptable cleanliness at a very affordable price. This one follows suit. Stay at one for a simple and largely hands-off experience. This one in particular is conveniently close to the airport and Old Town Alexandria. A bit less convenient (15~20 minutes by car) for those of you trying to go to National Harbor.

Room cleaning is performed upon request. It could be improved. For example, instead of having to book room cleaning at the reception every single time, upon check-in we could declare the room cleaning rate.

I have been already here recently and the experience had been much worse. The night staff this time was highly competent, smart and willing to help, which was not the case with my last stay. I believe that the guy that welcomed us upon check-in (and that was at the desk at night for the next few days) deserves a career upgrade. I had coffee machine in the room, so that I could have breakfast in the room before leaving, just had to stop by once at a supermarket to buy cookies and milk.

Location is quite isolated - there are no restaurants or bars within short walking distance. The stairs and walkways outside room were soiled and in need of overhaul.

I saved some money over the venue of my business activity. Nice little natural area at rear of property. Bed was comfortable.

Breakfast not included, which would not constitute an issue with a coffee machine in the room. There are no coffee machines in the rooms. The only coffee machine is in the lobby which is however at reduced access in the early morning. There is no room cleaning unless explicitly requested. Washing machine and dryer out of order. When I asked the staff about potential alternative around, nobody was able to answer. There has been street paving of more than half parking lot without any notice. Staff was completely clueless about alternative places where to park the car.

Fair solution if you have a car. Close to Alexandria, close to the Woodrow Wilson bridge. Satisfactory wi-fi signal. Comfortable room.

I have a two month old and clearly posted all around the location is no smoking near building atleast 25 feet or designated area. that was clearly not respected as i witnessed a worker smoke right outside my room when my newborn baby boy was coming out when we were checking out . I know its necessary to smoke when you need to but rules are rules .

I liked the fact that it was easy to locate (we are from out of town) and was not that expensive, especially for us who only stayed about 6 hours while needing a location for important zoom meeting .
