Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe room was not what we reserved even though we had received confirmation. Bathroom was dirty, toilet very old style and very low, difficult for seniors. No front lobby, had to speak through small window and submit credit card. Internet though available was very slow. Overall, it was very noisy. constant traffic noise until a little after midnight. There were extension cords handing from the wall to power the TV, mini fridge and lamp. (I wouldn't think it would meet code) very unsightly and concerning.
It was a basic place to sleep.

United States. Old and dated. Furniture was dusty. Cobb webs in the corners of the room. I asked for a smoke free and got a smokers room. I was given a room on the 2nd floor and told i could change rooms to the 1st floor the next day after I had reservations for almost a week. Food splattered on the wall behind the desk and behind the coffee maker. Tried to save money. Not worth it

United StatesThe lady that checked us in as well as the “hidden fees” not shared during booking my trip. Upon arrival, the woman was very rude. They would not allow customers into the lobby. She only talked to me through the window. She then told me that I had to pay $50/night if I had a pet. We chose them because they were pet friendly. In the confirmation, it said that a “fee may apply” with no indication that it would almost double the nightly rate. She then wanted to argue. She asked “Are you mad?” I said “Yes, as this was not explained when I booked.” She then said “Do you not want to stay here?!” Thankfully we had family in town that could keep our dog…so I said that we would not have our dog with us. She then, after running my credit card, asked me for $20 as a security deposit. We got to our room and while it was not “dirty” - the towels and washcloths had hair in the fibers and there was a few hairs in and around the sink. Which looked like it was from the housekeeper while cleaning the room/washing the linens. When we checked out, she would not give me the $20 back until she had her housekeeper check the room to make sure it was “okay” to return my deposit.
