About an hour before we arrived at the property we received an email that we had been downgraded from a one bedroom suite to a one bedroom room. We had paid for the suite in advance and it was non refundable three days prior to our visit. Needless to say we were not happy and the hotel management staff was very attentive with our situation when we arrived at the hotel, but apparently our room had been switched to someone else by the corporate office, and we had already paid for the suite!! I have never had this happen before in all my years of booking hotels and cannot believe it happened. The onsite manager, who was extremely professional, did call and was able to get us a credit difference for a regular room vs a suite for our two day stay but still this was not right.

Location is close to our family and hotel has some nice amenities.

Several slats from blinds were laying on the couch upon arrival. Hidden charges that we told about as we were being checked in. No one at the desk during our stay.

The staff was friendly rooms were clean and both the fireplace and whirlpool tub were very nice. Pool game room fitness facilities were great for both couples and families giving this hotel experience, a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The stowaway bed was a great space saver for narrow room, but it was terribly uncomfortable! The layout did not flow & it felt cramped, especially in the kitchen area. The 2-sided fireplace (facing bathroom & living room had a makeshift privacy partition that made bathroom privacy awkward.

The bed was hard as a rock. Need to spray the outdoors for flies and bugs. Although there was a sitting area, I couldn't use it past dusk as the flies were so bad. Could use some free weights in the workout room and mats for stretching.

It is a clean, comfortable hotel. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

For the price you pay there was no breakfast. This was the first hotel I ever stayed in that didn't have vending machines. And with no convenience stores nearby we couldn't go get drinks for the night. With all the places to stay in Galena I don't think I would stay here again.

I loved the pool and hot tub. The temperatures were perfect. The room was comfortable. And the staff were friendly. The elevator was broke, so they gave me and my elderly mother a room on the main floor.

Finding blood on bathroom wall by toilet, when using the spa tub instantly had black foam. So the tub wasn't fully cleaned. And the patio door curtains were broken and letting light in.

Love having a place to cook meals while there, and size of rooms.

Rooms looked a little 'worn', elevator was dirty, and no breakfast options or even a coffee bar was disappointing with the location being so far out of town. The murphy bed was not the most comfortable- I would rather a regular bed was in place rather than having all of the furniture in the space.

Loved the view and smaller feel of the hotel. Rooms were comfortable.

The room was nice but I thought we booked a one bedroom. We had studio with a Murphy Bed . The carpet also needs to be cleaned or updated.

The location was nice, kind of quiet and tucked away. The room was smaller though, with a pull out murphy bed which was not real comfortable.
