I had to switch rooms due to door not seeming to close properly and no temp to the water. Second room, cigarette burns and hair in sheets, permanent marker scribbled on night table, air conditioner not blowing cold air. Rowdy crowd outside, me and my daughter just couldn't relax and didn't feel safe so we left after 3 hours. Crazy how they make you pay a deposit of $50 when there's so much damage to the rooms already!! Right out side my door boxes of flooring/tile stacked. Property just seems unkept.

I booked two rooms, one with two queen beds and one with a king bed. I was told at the reception that they no longer have these rooms and that they can only have two rooms with a king-size bed. since it was late at night I agreed. I got a room in the first row next to the reception and the others in the last one. At night, the area around the hotel looked like a ghetto. We were really scared there with the whole family.

The only positive thing about this accommodation was the nice receptionist in the morning.

New/Upgraded Key Entry Systems we're VERY DIFFICULT to use, thus we got Moved to another room; then while Exiting, we couldn't get the unlocked door Opened from the Inside! Also, the room's AC/Heating Unit Power Button didn't work, so I had to "jiggle" the Power Cord for the unit to come on! Additionally, there were NO Basic Bath/Shower Amenities (ie. Soap, plastic cups, shampoo, or even an extra roll of Toilet Paper). I "Expected" much more for my $50 refundable Security Deposit! But I guess that's what one gets for their Money these days; there are PLENTY of Other Motels in the area to choose from and Rodeway Inn will NOT get my Business again!

Nice, roomy, & comfortable room for what we Paid, including Flat-Screen TV, Mini-Fridge, & small Microwave... Plenty of Towels, and HOT Water; NOTHING to "make" me wanna come back tho!

Inside bottom of fridge stuff floating in it. The in -out door had been broken into at one point and was not properly fixed. Got my 54 dollars worth. But will not be staying there again.

What looked like a blood stain on carpet. Cigarette ash leftover from past occupants. Door that barely held close. Very thin walls. Very dirty little effort put into the clean.

The room was Not Clean , bathroom had blk mold on wall ,toilet was leaking , ceramic tiles in bathroom on floor were cracked ,wet ,bugs in bathroom an vanity sink area ,All drawers were nasty dirty ,didn't use them ,beds weren't properly made ,Checked for bed bugs ,didn't see any but couldn't tell if beds were freshly made ,burn marks all over bed frame ,and bathtub asked for a king size ,smoking room and ironically it was giving to someone else even though I made reservations ahead of time ,there was no apology ,or even substitute ,money off my nasty buggy room ,had to wait upon arrival to get room none were ready on time ,It was one of the worst places I stayed ,the location was good ,I will Never Refer Or Return An I live in the Area ,I have pictures of stay to confirm the condition .

The first room was horrible. It didn't even have a tv in the room. The bottom of one wall looked as if it was eaten by rodents. There was no dead bolt on the door. The floor was beyond dirty. Stepped on a large piece of glass. There was also a piece of metal on the floor. No offer of compensation for the immense lack of cleanliness and not having a tv. This site won't let me add all the pics I took.

The day shift manager switched our room for the second day. That room still had ramen noodles in the sink but otherwise was a better room.

The place is filthy. The toilet seat didn't stay up, the bathroom door was really dirty and the freezer would not stay closed. The TV has cable but the picture was a tad fuzzy as if it had an antenna for the stations. There were cigarette burns on the sheet and comforter in our "none" smoking room that they wanted an extra $50 deposit for in case of damage or smoking. The room definitely was not properly cleaned as there was dirt and debris still on the floor. I NEVER have wrote a review on here because most times the room was acceptable enough but this is by far the worst room I have been in at this price point and felt people need to made aware.

The staff are very nice and it was a very good price.

There was a old mildew smell coming from the AC vents. Further into the room there was a foul smell. Which was coming from the sink, because of food being inside from previous guest. The beds were unkempt. Inside the bathroom there was hair on the toilet as well as throw up remnants. Inside of the tub there was dirt and more hair. We informed the staff they gave us more sheets to put on OURSELVES. when we went for breakfast they only had muffins and coffee and bread. I had to keep going out to my car and smoke

Everything. It was dirty, toilet in one room wasn't secured to the floor. When flushed sewage came up through the tub. When contacted the hotel directly no refund was offered. This was just a small part of the horrible night spent stuck in Detroit.
