Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was small, but this is normal for NYC and to be fair, it is well designed so plenty of storage
We loved all the extra touches, drinks, snacks, satin pillow cases, dyson hairdryer etc...

United StatesRoom size... But through all my research, most hotels in Times Square are extremely small which is to be expected. It's NYC!!
Although the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, we felt that Roomza's philosophy on the way they treat and accommodate their guests' needs, is truly second to none. The beds are so comfortable and both of our hotel hosts, Julie and Brian, were phenomenal. They really do go above and beyond for their guests! My son even lost his favorite hat in the room (last day in town) but Brian texted me later that he found it. Excellent service. Breakfast is served daily and if you book with Roomza, everything they have to offer, and I mean everything... is included/complimentary. Lastly, this hotel isn't in the middle of all the chaos. It is still located in Times Square but out of the hustle and bustle of it all. Walking distance to everything but tucked away on 39th and 8th. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

IrelandWe were looking forward to trying the Roomza concept and had high expectations - always dangerous! I feel like the whole digital experience could be made simpler - I would consider myself tech savvy and still couldn't figure it all out properly. And you get so many emails from Roomza and different third parties that it's difficult to keep track of it all and who you've shared your personal information with. In the end, everything worked out well though and staff is very helpful. I feel like the personalizations are mostly a gimmick and we definitely bought into the hype - note that you only get the "free" parking/Uber vouchers if you book through the Roomza website, not via Booking. Hotel-wise, the street noise was very loud in our room (yes, I know it's NYC, but still..) and the A/C also so loud that we couldn't use it while in the room. The location is kind of convenient but not very nice - I'd look in a different area next time.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay, the room is well appointed, the bed was very comfy, and it is convenient to get the drinks, snacks, and amenities replenished every day. We were looking forward to retreating to the room at the end of each day. It was fun to try the Roomza concept and see what it's all about. We also enjoyed free coffee throughout the day and bagels in the morning in the Pestana lobby. We did not have any issues with the size of the bathroom and shower that some reviews mentioned, the shower was great with plenty of hot water - lovely bath robes too!

Czech RepublicThe room was tiny but welll organised end equipped. Unfortunately, it was also a bit loud: the street was noisy and the air conditioning occasionally too. Breakfast was rather simple: bagel or croissant and warm beverages.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The mini bar and breakfast were included in the price. It is centrally located and close to a subway station.

CanadaHonestly, it's been 3 weeks since our stay and I can't remember a single thing that bothered me. I just remember how awesome our stay was!
My gf and I booked Roomza Times Square having never heard of Roomza before. They didn't have a ton of reviews but the ones they did all were 4-5 stars so we took a chance and we're so glad we did! We were in NYC for the NYC Half Marathon, which starts in Brooklyn and ends at Central Park so we wanted to stay at a hotel that wasn't too far from the Finish Line. We both love Midtown but places can be insanely pricey around here but Roomza was reasonably priced (for Midtown). Roomza is like a middle man but one that doesn't make things more expensive! Instead they up the game by leveraging technology. While they don't own the hotel (they lease 2 floors in inside of it), honestly they do a great job! Before arriving, everything is managed through their website/app. But this doesn't mean once you get on site, you're stranded. They had hosts on site to take care of us! We met Julie the day we checked in and even though we arrived 5hrs before check in, she was actually able to expedite getting our room ready! We were in our room within an hour! Throughout our stay, we also met Brian and Cee (sp?), etc. If we ever needed anything at any time of the day, we could message them though the Roomza website and we'd get an answer pretty quickly! Our room was always clean and they kept us fully stocked. Big bonus: THE MINIBAR IS FREE! They don't nickel and dime you! No hidden fees! Also, every night at midnight, they would wheel out a cart with a bunch of freebies on it for all to enjoy. Chips, snacks, water, slippers, toiletries, etc. Just a fun, thoughtful gesture! My favourite part of our Roomza stay was the social media person running the Roomza IG account. They saw, liked, reshared, and commented on quite a few of my IG Stories. We got quite a rapport going! When they saw we were in NYC for the Half Marathon, they msg'd me to let me know they had a THERAGUN we could use!

IrelandA lot of reviews mention the bathroom size. It was fine with a good shower but if you were a large person, it might be difficult to squeeze by the bathroom door.
Great atmosphere in the lobby. Coffee and iced water provided whenever you want. Free Bagels in the morning which is a nice break from the extortinate prices we were paying for food. Safe in the bedroom is substantial and modern.

United StatesThe lobby was undergoing some sort of remodeling. Nothing too bad, but it was not in optimal conditions. Also, the property’s location is somehow away from main NYC’s attractions, but very well located if you are using Port Authority Terminal, Madison Garden or Pennsylvania Train Station.
The staff was FANTASTIC, and the hotel’s offering was quite thoughtful. We really enjoyed our stay.
