Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe rooms were remodeled, they did a decent job just with cheap materials but clean and fairly modern looking. The lanai is narrow and not really comfortable for lounging and old sliding glass door was difficult to slide open/close. There seems to be quite a bit of repairs and construction to building, elevators, water systems etc.
VI resorts, in lobby suite 104 is where you check in. Staff was so great, able to get us in an hour early to one of our units. Location was 4-5 blocks off waikiki and location makes walking to most attractions, shopping, restaurants perfect.

United StatesThere was no soap in the shower or bathroom and so we had to buy some. The kitchen did not have any extra items to help with cooking which was not terrible since we ended up eating out while in Waikiki. Views are nothing special
I was relieved when I found that parking is included. It is just down the street from the beach and so parking is a premium. The guys who checked us in were great and even got us into our rooms as soon as they were ready. The room was comfortable and had almost everything we needed. We were impressed with the art and thought that we would put those pieces on our walls at home. I did not use the pool but it was nice to have it.

United StatesWe were going to shop after we checked out and leave our car rental in the building but we couldn't go down the escalator since we already turned in our key fob to the elevator to go down. That was very inconvenient for us but it's alright. We went to shop at Ala Moana instead.
Perfect for family of 4. Room has kitchen, living room and a room with a door for privacy. I love that the hotel has a parking. Awesome. Close to everything on Kuhio Avenue. Beach is just minutes away.

United StatesThe bed and the sofa bed weren't comfy and found bed bugs on the sofa bed. My whole family got bitten by them. Need to disinfect and exterminator needs to be called. Disgusting and disappointed.
Liked the proximity of the hotel to the beach. Enjoyed it had a kitchen and oven.
