We weren't able to watch TV. I called the front desk and a HDMI cable was missing. Once that was installed the TV worked for a few minutes then no sound. Bummer.

We have stayed here many times. The facilities are always welcoming and clean. The location is awesome especially for seeing a show at the Royal Oak Theater; it's within walking distance. I love the decor, the common area for people to gather and its clean.

Bed was not real comfortable. I have slept on worse, but I have also had more comfortable beds when staying in a hotel.

Too many text messages and the free breakfast sandwich wasn't great. Might I suggest maybe a slice of ham and an English muffin or even a toasted and buttered hamburger bun?

Night shift was not very helpful. First she ignored my advice for some suspicious dripping noise in the neighbor room and then she was not able to print a decent receipt, as I had to check out very early the next morning

Enjoyed the retro vibe theme of the hotel/motel. Everything was very clean and updated. It was like the motels I used to get excited about staying in years ago when I was a child but a modern day version.

No fridge in this room type. There was an ice machine, so our drinks were cold for after our event. Crisis averted lol

Great location for going to Royal Oak Music Theatre. Beds super comfortable. Staff were really nice and helpful. Good sized room. Cute bathroom amenities and hot shower. Wish we'd had time to enjoy the outside seating area.

There wasn't any cold water anywhere to be found. Even when you flushed it felt like a steam bath. That was rather nice.

I loved how they updated, blending the old with the new.... Funky! The bed was comfortable. Everything was working except for the cold water. The outdoor space was amazing and when we went outside, the manager, Mark, came out to introduce himself and light the outdoor fire pit. I was there to have surgery in the morning and was in a wheelchair. The room was accommodating.

Lack of seating in the room...a small side chair or two wouldn't have taken up too much space. Still opportunity for some cosmetic fix-ups around the building and grounds, but nothing that was a negative experience.

The contactless check-in was novel, using bluetooth to unlock the door. The renovations to turn this older property into a cute boutique hotel were well executed. The property is dated, but clean and pleasant. Voucher for breakfast at adjacent restaurant was nice, too.

I wish there was a fridge in our room, but it was my fault for not noticing that that was not an amenity on our reservation.

The room would have been better if there was a bedside table on each side of the bed. A mini fridge in the room would have been helpful. I didn't have a place to store my leftover dinner. So it went to waste.

The walls in the bathroom at the bottom were broken in and you could see inside it looked like rat holes the hot water never worked in the sink so it needs renovating and the bed was horrible not comfortable at all and there was no mini fridge like how is a hotel not going to have a fridge in the room

The futons were a little uncomfortable, only because of the buttons on the seat of the bed. Wish I had a nap pad or thicker blanket to go over those. My daughter claimed a tiny group of ants were marching around the bathroom so I went to go see. Indeed there were a little group of them by the wall across from the toilet. No big deal because none of us complained about them. We just let them do their thing!

Freebies at the front desk! Lots of character! I loved the decor. Decorated modern/chic and it was so inviting! Lots of space to walk around the room. Large window to look outside. Beautifully made kitchenette with coffee and larger then normal fridge. We were all very impressed with the room size and comfort. Pretty sure the floors are heated too!!! We are already planning a summer trip here, just for the hotel!!! Close to lots of restaurants and bars, and the best pastry shop I have ever visited. We will definitely be back.
