Our minibar fridge was not working. We stopped by and asked the Concierge to send someone to our room to take a look but no one ever came.

The location was great. Lots of really good restaurants nearby as well as shopping. Close to a subway stop as well. The front desk gentleman that checked us in was lovely. Very engaging and friendly.

Fold-out bed was kind of lumpy - but no complaints from the kid.

Location! Staff were very friendly and room clean. Pool was open which was a pleasant surprise. Loved the complimentary champagne on Friday and Saturday.

From the outside the entrance lobby looks a little shabby, but the hotel itself more than makes up for this

The hotel room was superb... spacious, wonderful bed, wonderful bathroom and even a small balcony to feel very 'New York'! All the staff were wonderfully helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to help... and the concierge knew everything! It was perfect to be a few metres from a Subway line, making all of Manhatten easily accessible. ..As for the roof-top pool... what could be better!

Pool was way too hot! It was unswimmable. Service was extremely slow when I requested a few items to be brought to the room. Unfortunately our "view" was of a garbage area of the building next door. Not impressive.

Loved the proximity to the 6 train! Also nice to have a Whole Foods nearby! Rooftop pool was beautiful, but way too hot on the day we went in. We loved the restaurant and the service we received there! The performers we saw were fantastic!!

Elevator issues were a bit frustrating but not a deal breaker... It also took nearly an hour to get our car from the valet when we were leaving. They did warn us beforehand but an hour to get the car while waiting with three kids was a bit rough.

Large extended room with an oddly large number of closets (5-6). The TVs and room tech are a bit dated (small and lacking modern casting/options). We stayed on the 18th floor but one elevator didn't go to 18 (waiting for repair) so we were constantly skipping the broken elevator. The room card reader in the elevators didn't work, so anyone could access any floor, guest or not. Elevator issues aside, the location, room size, and staff were phenomenal!

The hotel staff took really good care of us (each day, we would receive a SMS to check up on us). The baby bed in the room was really comfortable, to the satisfaction of our daughter. The hotel's location in downtown Manhattan is perfect (close to Grand Central Terminal and the Empire State Building). We had a wonderful time at Royalton Park Avenue South!

The pull out sofa bed was old and sank in the middle, would be OK for one person - but we had to use is for 2 which was uncomfortable. The shower door leaked everywhere. The prices in the bar we high when not in happy hour - $12 for a basket of fries, a standard bottle of wine $72 (we pay £8 in the UK for the exact same one).

The roof top outdoor pool was lovely and even warm in the snow. Enjoyed Happy Hour in the rooftop bar. Rooms were spacious.

Staff v friendly and helpful. Rooms v comfortable and clean. Small noise issue from another room dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Great location. Rooftop Bar is nice. Housekeeping very good.

Rooms were a little tired. No full length mirror. No mirror at all in the bedroom (only one in the bathroom). Air con is extremely loud.

All the staff were very warm and helpful, right from check-in to check-out. The room was nice and large, and very well-equipped, and came with a little balcony with great views. The lounge/ restaurant at the rooftop is also great. Great service all in all. In all, we were very comfortable during our eight-day stay.

Balcony door lock didn't work properly. Wasn't an issue as no one could gain access to the room via the balcony. No hairdryer. We asked the porter for assistance with getting a taxi going uptown for an important appointment (the Concierge was on a call at the time) The porter was quite rude and unhelpful. He muttered inaudibly and gestured for us to go outside and flag one down ourselves. We weren't sure what we were doing and were unsuccessful. We went back in to the hotel and I asked a different member of the front desk team to assist us. He called one for us immediately and was very helpful and pleasant. I work in the 5 star hospitality industry myself and was quite taken a back by the porters rude and dismissive attitude. He was quite sulky and sullen during the rest of our stay which was very unprofessional.

Location was superb, Our room upgrade was well worth the extra cost. Best room I've ever had in NYC. Front desk team pleasant and helpful for the most part.
