Hard to find down a long stretch of dirt roads. Never got my email telling me how to get there and what to do once I got there. Do not stop at the first structure on the right , it is a zombie house! The third and last house is the one you’re staying at, and it’s pretty much self service from there.

Beautiful grounds in the rainforest, clean quiet and comfortable, reasonably priced.

It would have been good to have some towels or an area to dry dishes, we had to use our bath towels. As other reviews have mentioned the walls are so thin, you can hear most other guests. Just a few more basic utensils in the room would have been great like some glasses and we only had a frying pan and no pots.

We arrived in the evening and were able to chose which room. The bed was huge and very comfortable for 2 people, and we had armchairs and table which was nice. It got a bit cold in the room but we had plenty of blankets. The freezer box works really well with the frozen water bottles from the communal freezer. The instructions to get there were detailed and helpful. Good WiFi. Overall we were comfortable, and we would recommend if you are looking for a budget place to stay on the island.

Some oils and spices for cooking would have been convenient. Communication could have been smoother.

The surroundings are amazing, just nature. It is pretty and convenient. Bed is warm, there are towels and parking space.

Walls are "made of cardboard" and unfortunately guests arrive and don't realize we can hear EVERYTHING. I think everyone would appreciate their stay a little more if a clear warning was made in advance about being careful with noise.

For the price, I mean this is exceptional. Very clean, comfortable and good size. If you like being out in the wild, you'll enjoy this.

Long way from the main road. Not many details or information about Freezer/fridge and only one electrical outlet for the room. More information could be available for travellers eg. maps - restaurants .

It was quiet location and near to Volcano National Park. It had a kettle for making tea/coffee and cooking equipment and shower and toilet. The bed was very comfortable.

The ad said deluxe! No, this is very basic. A room without curtains, without insulation, not to any building code. It was ok for us as we are used to living off grid but it was not as advertised.

This is basically camping with running water. Certainly not ‘deluxe’ as indicated in the room title. While it was acceptable for us it was not described as it should be. Rustic can be negative or positive by definition.

Location makes it easy to access either side of the island. Closer to Hilo and the forests which we like, but also has a good head start and away from morning traffic to hop over to the Dryer side on hwy 11 for the day. Also they allowed our two small doge to stay with us as long as they were quiet and we cleaned up after them. Great place to stay for the price!

We had a small issue with our shower, but it was rectified as soon as I brought it to the landlord’s attention. No complaints at all!

I loved the privacy and seclusion of the property, and that it was off grid. It gave us a sense of truly experiencing the area without the unnecessary amenities of a hotel.

Absolutely beautiful! We got the chance to stay at the garden room and it was undescribable!!! SO beautiful! It is a little ways down a dirt road, but man! Once you get here it is worth it!!!! Stars are fantastic at night! Gorgeous!!! The property itself is lovely! Would recommend!!

Its not really important, but the only thing is: showers watertemperature is changing from hot to cold and back. But its not really an issue.

Everything is as advertised ;-) And I have not missed anything during my stay. Wifi was awesome stable and fast!! Its a very peaceful and calm place in something like a forest I would say. Waking up with lovely birds :-)

there is basically no privacy as your neighbors are behind the next wall, seperated from you by half an inch of some "wall" place is fair, but nothing you wanna chill at an extra hour. the prices are low, but for similar prices you can find much nicer stays. I would not want to spend my holidays here.
