Nothing really…couldn’t be helped but our room neighbour had a young child that woke at around 0530 and appears to be left to scream for nearly an hour but not a property issue, more of a booking issue and room allocation.

It was second independent building away from main hotel. There was no breakfasts available in hotel, and breakfast on restaurant arround was terrible. Nothing available arround .

Location was next to a park where there were multiple homeless people camping in their cars. Was charged for parking though it was never stated that there was a fee in reservation or at the checkin counter. The “sister hotel” where all the amenities are located was about a block and a half away, pictures make it seem closer/easier to access. Will look at description details more closely next time. Our room was supposed to have a balcony and it didn’t.

hallways smelled a little weird

Beautiful views from the main Hyatt, but Palmoro house was next to a park (that wasn’t shady like other reviews said). Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was clean :)

When I booked I didn't realize this is a sister hotel to the one shown in the hotel pictures, all pictures seen are from the Mar Monte even the amenities, there are no amenities at Palmoro, you have to walk down the street to use the amenities, also called front desk for coffee cups (they never came), when you check out ask for a printed receipt they wanted to charge me double cuz they hadn't seen my booking through booking.com, landscaping needs work, and the trees at the Palmoro lot leave a lot of sap on your car (park outside)

I sent a request to potentially cancel our 3rd day as instructed by your front desk staff via Bookings.com. Bookings got back to me 24 hours later saying you all never responded to the request. Not the end of the world but would have been nice to be acknowledged as either a yes or no.

Very old rooms and dated carpets and hallways. Very clean Room but overwhelming smell of dampness! Woke up in the middle of the night from the noise upstairs when people were walking, talking or even using the bathroom.

My credit card was swiped twice by mistake, but an application was made for a refund, along with apologies for the mix up.

We were given an upgrade and stayed at the sister property, the Mar Monte Hotel. We loved our stay there, the room was big, the pool heated. The service was excellent.

Parking is $25 per night and there is no view from the room. Looking out, you have a view of a relatively sketchy parking lot across the street. Also, the water pressure is low and the bedding is rather thin. Other than that, great value and close to the beach!

the building really stunk like dampness. the AC is extremely loud and we had issues with ours working all weekend. there wasn’t anywhere to hang your towels in the bathroom. the shower curtain was installed too high so water gets all over the bathroom

We got lost finding the building. The staff was not clear with directions. We ended up in the wrong place and building (the residence area. quiet upsetting for us who were tired with the long drive and eager to rest). they should do a better job in giving directions.

Did not feel safe ! No desk or security on premises — 4 foot electric gate was easily scalable and the exit button did not require any card so anyone could jump short gate and press button. Also, to get into premises I had to step OUT OF car to use card to open gate. The hotel was across from a park that allows cars and occupants to stay overnight and area was not patrolled or well lit.

The hot tub was not working properly - lukewarm. This was disappointing since it was one of the main reasons I selected this hotel. It also meant that lots of children were using it as a kiddie pool. Maintenance was apparently working to fix it, but as we were only there one night, we didn’t get to enjoy it.

All the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially at the busy Lido Cafe. Food at the Lido was very good. (Try the warm olive appetizer, the fried chicken sandwich, and especially the delicious bread pudding.) I liked that our room was a block away from the main hotel - very quiet except for the occasional train whistle. Very much worth the discounted price for a 2 minute stroll to the pool. Gated parking (for an extra $19).
