Breakfast is not full scale. The phone charger in the room was not very strong and took a long time to charge. There were no extra blankets in the room, so we had to call for that.

Room was very upscale and comfortable, quiet and elegant. Location is great, Santa Monica is such a great place to stay in LA. The lobby and sitting/dining areas were elegant and beautiful. It was a rainy weekend but the hotel felt cozy and offered umbrellas when we ventured out, called taxis and was very helpful. There was underground parking for guests which was very convenient. We loved the Tesla hotel shuttle that drove us to our venue and back. Excellent service.

I absolutely loved the bathrobes and the white noise machine. I had really the best night of sleep. The location is very good, a bit away from the “centre”, but it’s easy to reach by car.

AC was a bit noisy and tea & coffee was not provided in the room - these could be had on the lobby level 24/7.

We had a 4th floor room with a balcony, it was spacious and included WiFi, unlike some brand hotels.

My breakfast was adjusted to my needs. The menu is limited, very LA. But with small facilities it should work for most people. The service was great.

Terrace views are legit. Some places advertise balcony or terrace, and you're outside staring at a wall, not here.

Had to pay the parking. If you are a guest of the hotel, park must be included in the price. But this is so in Santa Monica….

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Great location. Nice neighborhood! Very clean grounds inside and out! The decor inside the lobby, dinning area, library, outdoor lounge… all of it was gorgeous! Every single staff member I dealt with or even walked passed was so welcoming and was nicely greeted! Nick, Brandon were very hospitable! The driver Enrique was just the sweetest! Everyone was nicely dressed as well! It was a GREAT stay! I will most def stay again and recommend to anyone going to that area!

The windows of my room faced the wall of another building, right under the windows is a garbage dump. Bad odor if you open the window and at night people loudly rake the dumpster. Creepy .

At check-in we were told that the Ambrose Hotel is a "Green Hotel" and therefore the rooms are cleaned only every three days. However, we can tell the staff when we need fresh towels. A little disappointing for the rather high price. On booking.com we chose Traditional Studio with king size bed, 30m2 with patio/veranda and walk-in shower. Unfortunately, the pictures and description from booking.com did not match the room we received (Traditional Studio). We had a bathtub instead of walk-in-shower and a super small balcony where barely two chairs fit. At the reception we were told that the pictures from booking.com are not correct.

The room and bathroom was large. Quiet location, with the window closed. Good Wi-Fi access. Free aperitif and Tesla service are a good idea. Nice ambience, secure underground parking. Very good location.

Absolutely nothing - it is fantastic !

We loved everything about the property. The hotel is small (rooms are a good size) and beautifully decorated giving it a cosy and European feel. It is in a quiet / peaceful location and opposite a lovely coffee shop and close to restaurants. Complimentary bikes. Only $10/15 Uber to the Pier. Alternatively hotel offers courtesy Tesler journey between 11am-8pm. There is also a gym.

Small things to improve, we have family room for 4 people, but only two glasses, two bottles of water, two bathrobes in it. Room service once per 3 days that is fine, but no equipment to dry your towels. After 2 days they just started stinking. The reception staff should be more friendly when you check in as usually in 4 stars hotels. We were explained all details about the hotel in 1 minute quick speech :)

Very nice room, not too big hotel in which you feel really nice, close to the beach (around 25 min walk), good cosmetics in bathroom, sustainable policy, we were happy to stay there.
