Loved everything about it.

We spent a quick evening in Santa Monica before returning to Seattle and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay at Santa Monica Proper. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and their attention to detail is apparent in every corner of the space. Aesthetics aside, I had the most comfortable sleep at this hotel (even better than at home) and now want to know all about their bedding selection. Location and staff were also wonderful, and my only regret is not visiting their bar or restaurant.

Hotel has amazing interior design. Restaurant on the roof top can be quite busy but they have wonderful bar with full service. Last but not least - tasty breakfast, you should try pancakes in the restaurant downstairs. It's worth it! Also it's a very dog friendly place.

Shower drain was clogged so kept flooding. Thought housekeeping would of picked it up each day but they didnt. Location was a bit further away from the main action than thought.

I booked a room with balcony expecting i would see good views such as beach or city but instead the balcony is faced towards a shabby building

The only thing is that the doors either seem quite thin or or there is no sound insulation under the door.

Only one tiny negative was the minibar prices were extortionate.

The interior design is next level to anything you’ve ever stayed in before. Every detail is incredible and design can be found everywhere from how your room key is presented through to the thoughtful gestures like complimentary bottled water each day. The staff are super friendly, housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Overall incredible.

I don’t understand why people who design hotel rooms cannot place enough electric charging stations within easy reach. In this case, as so often happens, there was the initial hunt for outlets. Here they were hidden below the bedside table. That is my only, and quite minor, issue.

The hotel was beautiful, and i loved the multiuse lobby where you can eat, hang out have a drink or coffee, or just people watch in a beautiful environment. My room was very nice, bed comfortable, water pressure great. The roof top restaurant was beautiful with excellent food.

We had to wait till 5pm for our room. And the next morning the pool was closed for a special event. Didn’t really get to enjoy the property. So the value of my stay was not fully utilized.

Housekeeping staff entered our room, even though we asked for privacy and when asked about it, the housekeeping manager never got back to us.
