How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Seagull Motel for two nights. We were in town for the TIA Atlantic Coast Championships at the Wildwood Convention Center. We had a two room efficiency. There is a separate living room area and bedroom as well as a kitchen table. The room also had a small microwave, refrigerator, small dishwasher and two burner stove. There are pots and pans, utensils and a coffee maker as well. The bathroom was nice and shower pressure was excellent. There is a small hairdryer in the bathroom. There was a flat screen television in the bedroom and living room area. The television service is through Direct tv. We had our own private balcony with two chairs and we sat out there. The motel is a block and half from the Wildwood boardwalk. There are numerous restaurants nearby. The wi fi was good as well and we had no issues. Wi-Fi speed was good. This is a family owned motel. We were greeted by Juliet and her mother upon checking in and both were super helpful with recommendations for area restaurants, attractions, etc. They were wonderful. We loved the excellent level of customer service provided. We felt very welcome here. The motel has a pool but we did not use it. Our room was very clean and comfortable which was on the third floor. There were only stairs and no elevator. We would definitely visit here again.

The air conditioner and dehumidifier were very loud and disturbing to sleep.
Walking to restaurants, stores, church, bike rentals, beach and boardwalk. The entire staff, office and housekeeping, were very friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and offered gas grills and laundry machines.

The Sea Gull Motel was a Great stay for my family and I. The room, though small (it's a motel), was beautifully made-up upon our arrival and whenever we needed it redone. The pool is large enough for multiple families to enjoy at once, and well maintained. The staff was not only kind, but helpful in giving you tips on where to eat in the neighborhood. The Sea Gull will Definitely be our go-to stay whenever we're down the shore :)

Kind of far from the rides on the boardwalk but not terrible. The walk to the beach was a little bit of a hike but could have been worse

I wish there was a sink instead of only the bathroom sink. Linens could use an upgrade.
Property located one block from the boardwalk and beach. It's on the edge where Wildwood Crest begins. Plenty of parking spaces. Average sized room with 2 beds, microwave, fridge, and tv. Free wifi. Kiddie pool for little ones. Staff was friendly and attentive. Able to rent beach wagon for small fee.

Parking was tricky if you have a bigger car but it worked and there were always spots available

Room availability is tough since the quality is good.
Much better conditions than other places I've been to. Love the beach cart we could rent since we have a lot of stuff. Overall a great place.
