It is an older property, and some features need repairs or updating. For example, the locks on our door didn’t line up properly, so it was difficult to secure our door at night. It was an old door - over the years the door and/or frame had warped a little. Just needs some TLC.

The location was perfect, the manager/owner was very welcoming and friendly, and our family always tries to support independent, family-run establishments.

The rooms could use some love. The aged decor truly isn't a big deal, but small maintenance items needs some attention, ie re-calk tub, tape a drywall seam, fasten a piece of trim, etc. Our front door was noisy to open/close. Probably just needs a little adjustment but it was super annoying at 6am trying to avoid waking the kids. The AC was loud but kept the room cool on +90 degree days.

This stay was a great value. If you don't need the frills of a big hotel, this will suite you well. Keep in mind this is a 1 star motel. The rooms are likely the same from the 70s but it's clean, has cold AC, hot water, and comfy beds. Our room had a small fridge (that actually worked well) and a microwave. Perfect to save a few bucks. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Plenty of outdoor seating and parking at your front door. The motel is located near a Kroger and right down the road from Jolly Donut (breakfast and donuts are wonderful). Minutes from Jackson St pier, goofy golf, sandusky mall, Cedar Point, and many other points of interest.

I personally don’t have a problem with the property, it is an older hotel, so if you are looking for new and shiny, I wouldn’t recommend it. but if you don’t mind an older place it’s worth the money.

Very comfortable and well-kept rooms. Free coffee every morning. Great value for the price, and most importantly, wonderful staff. They were so accommodating of my boyfriend and I, and we will definitely be returning!

This family built and owned "vintage" motel is adorable! I met the owner Nick and spoke to him on the phone a few times for accommodations. Not only did he call me to see if i needed another night to my stay but also told me i could check in early and he turned the AC on for me before we came to make sure it would be cool. When I arrived to check in, I met the original owner Vicky (Nick's Mom) and she was so sweet! If you're looking for a quaint, comfortable, well priced place to stay in or near Sandusky, go here!

it was an iconic visit to the classic roadside motels. Nick and his family were terrific. this is not a luxurious hotel, but it was well kept, basic, well maintained, and clean.

I reached out to the owner about my young daughters staying after a day at CP. We were nervous of them driving after a long day. Patrick reached out and said he would watch over them. He greeted them, walked them to the room and told them (same as we did) “Park in front of the door and stay in that room the rest of the night, don’t leave and call if they needed anything.” I appreciate the kindness and care my daughters received. Thank you!

The door was kinda difficult to lock and secure and the AC struggled to keep the room cool. (the weather was very hot during our stay)

Seemed to in a decent area. The property was quiet and everyone was respectful. The room overall was clean, stocked and in working order
