Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe parking situation sucked 75$ for valet a day and 24$ a day for the parking lot they own but they get you because you have to pay 24$ every time you leave and come back so don’t come back until you plan to be in for the night and there food is a little pricy but tasty wish they had a kids menu don’t feel very kid friendly to me we ate in the dining area but I was ready to run out of there any time my baby wine or cry all workers I swear were side eyeing me and just staring I was so embarrassed.
The stay was enjoyable I loved the cabanas at the pool and there lobby is very pretty. It was very close to airport but convenient for my family because it’s about 30 minutes from universal studios and like 15 minutes from the beach so it was a win win

The staff were friendly and helpful all the way from the shuttle, valet to reception. The room was well presented and very clean. Bed was comfortable and good amenities. The free shuttle and location to the airport makes it very convenient and the bus stop behind the hotel that goes down to Santa Monica beach was conveniently located. Would definitely stay again 😄

AustraliaPaper thin walls. Our floor seemed to be occupied by low quality people screaming, yelling, and running down the hallways slamming doors, and TV’s blasting all night until 1.30am. Called the front desk to make them aware but nothing was done.
So easy getting to and from LAX with the free shuttle, the restaurant has fantastic food, gift shop (albeit expensive) has good range of gifts and snacks.

AustraliaI know that having QR codes instead of physical menus and things is generally easier, but because I booked late at night and only about 20 minutes before I arrived, I didn't get a 'Marriot reservation number' so I couldn't access the app to see the room service menu or anything else. I tried to call front desk and the reservation number they gave me was the wrong type, so I had no way to access any amenities. Relatively minor problem in the grand scheme of things, but it's still worth fixing. Also could be helpful to put info about the airport shuttle somewhere on the listing/website/confirmation email. I had to go into the FAQs on booking.com to figure out how to find the shuttle location, as the signage at LAX isn't always overly clear.
Lovely room, really comfortable bed, nice view, regular shuttle service. Generally a very pleasant stay. I was only there a few hours for my overnight layover between flights so didn't try the restaurants or other facilities, but was very happy for a convenient spot to have a hot shower and get some rest.
