How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Restroom very small and water is very weak i could not shave, and flushing system very bad.
Close to everything we needed to explore. And comfortable room and bed. Parking is very good too.

The room is small for a family (4ppl). The bathtub drain was clogged but quickly fixed by hotel staff (shouldn’t happen though). My room was very noisy at late night, I was on top of the trash deposit, so there were loud noises from collecting I guess. But the worst part, they didn’t accept Wise (international pre-paid credit card).
The breakfast is stellar, the location works well as a base to visit San Francisco’s main attractions.

THE BREAKFAST WAS TOO SALTY SO THEY HAVE TO CHANGE THE SAUSAGE TO A LESS SALTY ONES. THE LINE WAS TOO LONG AT THE BREAKFAST SO IT NEEDS TO GET BETTER
THE ROOM WAS SO FAR TO WALK. I T WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTING AS I ASKED THE HOTEL TO GIVE ME A ROOM CLOSE TO THE ELEVATOR AS MY WIFE HAS BACKACHE AND COULD NOT WALK FAR.

Bathroom was very small but there was so much room in the sink area/dressing room that could have been given over to the bathroom space.

The reception staff went out of there way to make a room ready as we had arrived early due to flight schedule. Very helpful with suggesting places to eat.

The pillows were bad, put all 4 together, still flat, and asked for a blanket. I held up so thin could see TV thur it . They need a complimentary coffee in the lobby area since they want all party's together before going in for breakfast. need a pool inside to cold outside. didn't like how the bathroom is set up. There is no door to get dressed. need a small table and chairs
The friendliness and the lobby area was nice love how the held the suit cases since we arrived early

The TV guide was not working. There were no china cups in rooms hated using the paper ones. No matter how many paper sleeves used they still burnt your fingers to hold. Just took the quality of the hotel down a notch using paper cups. Really did not like them at all. No vegan butter or spread available.
Close to all places at Fisherman’s Wharf. Even a bus stop right outside the hotel. The towels were extremely thick and large. We only drink tea and were very happy to have a kettle/hot jug supplied to the room. But did not get teabags apart from a few we were given on check in. Really liked the fact all the bathroom supplies were replenished daily. Although breakfasts were extremely busy the staff were very good in seating patrons very quickly. Good choice of foods fruits were especially good quality. Would be an idea to list what could be recycled as it varies from country to county.

Bathroom too small, not good isolation between floors ( we could hear every movement from folks upstairs) , could hear street noise along with corridor’s.

There is no restaurant and nearest food is a couple of blocks away. Not many options for refilling water bottles.

Room was directly across from the hotel reception/registration area on the ground floor. The sound of cars & taxis pulling up, doors slamming, people talking at all hours. The room was also close to the gym & we could hear people pounding away on the treadmills. Not a big issue during the during the day but it certainly is at 5.00 am. Next time I'll specify a better room!
Location; a couple of minutes walk from Pier 39 & all that Fisherman's Wharf has to offer. Literally a few minutes from the Powell/Mason Cable Car turnaround & so many other tourist "must do" attractions.

The bathroom/shower was quite dated. The shower could have been more powerful. We also didn't like the aircon unit it made a lot of noise so we couldn't leave it on over night.
The location of the hotel was great, it was right by the pier and touristy stuff. We were only there 2 nights so this was perfect for us. The hotel was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great, lots of choice.
