Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesHad to park off-site to avoid 27.00/night parking fee, but didn't have a problem finding street parking.
I love the pillows! I slept very well. Nice room and view of the trees next to the desk where I was working. Nice landscaping around the pool for a short, peaceful walk. Shooters Bar and Grill (inside Sheraton registration room) served a delicious spaghetti dinner. Ashton makes a very good Irish coffee. I had trouble streaming a movie both nights, but it finally worked. They sent help right away and comped my movies. Thanks! I like the 12:00 check out time too.

We needed to be close to the UCSD Med. Center, it was a quick ride over to there, with the restaurants also a close walk.

United States- when I checked in, nobody told me about the elevators or that there were luggage racks available - we are both in our 70s and somewhat capable, but it was tough lugging up our luggage - other than that miss, the front staff were always friendly and courteous. - bed too soft for my husband -I guess for the price I would have preferred to also have a porch area so that I could sit outside and look down
We particularly enjoyed the garden area, looking down from above, and walking through. It was easy to get to other locations from this hotel.

United StatesThe lack of vegetarian options at dinner from in room dining (there was the hummus plate, but it was really an appetizer in size and in satisfaction and of course there are salads, but that isn't a main meal either) has frustrated me through the four years I've stayed at this location on and off, during which time the menu hasn't changed at all, as far as I can tell. The breakfast menu is veggie-conscious, why wouldn't the dinner menu be the same? I stayed at this location twice in the past couple of weeks, and each time they said they would honor my request for a pool-view, but when I arrived, they took back they'd ever said it, even though I had written proof. (I gave in on this request immediately; I didn't take it out on the staff.). My luggage was particularly heavy, even on wheels, and it would've been really nice to get some help bringing it to my room; my sense is that they were understaffed, a malady going around in many fields of work.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, at the desk, the housekeepers, and room service deliverers. The room service food was unexpectedly good, and they worked with my special dietary needs to modify an existing dish. I would subtract a few points from in room dining for what I describe in the next box. They were also helpful in rescheduling my nights there when my flight didn't take off the day it should have because of bad weather. I appreciate that the beds did NOT have a feather top (like Courtyard Mario's) so I could get genuinely comfortable instead of thinking about pushing around feathers that were too soft. Housekeeping did a great, fast job. The Courtyard Marriott to which I've already referred had the head of housekeeping knock on the door every day of my stay at 8 a.m. telling me I needed to get out. (I wasn't checking out the first few days, and even if I were, checkout is at 12.). By contrast, this Sheraton's housekeepers were lovely and understanding and good at their jobs.

United StatesWish the room service menu had been more vegetarian friendly — literally no veggie entrees. However, I’ve stayed at that location before, and the kitchen has always worked with me to make something nice to eat.
Staff was sunny, helpful, accommodating. Loved the room service delivery persons. Super polite, kind, and one was even funny in a way that made my day.

United States1). The hotel consists of separate buildings and there is a lot of gravel. I was expected to walk to my own room and the wheels of my suitcase got scraped on the gravel. 2) Very limited restaurant hours and room service could not be delivered; you had to go pick it up. 3). One of the sliding shower doors was extremely difficult to open. 4). I realize that this was Father’s Day weekend and University of California-San Diego graduation weekend but paying $501.00 for my one night stay at this Sheraton felt like “highway robbery.”
The room was clean and very nice. The beds were comfortable. There were adequate towels, body wash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Shower worked well. Staff (except for the trainee at the front desk) were very cordial.
