A bit old and needs refreshing

Check in by man in suit was appalling. Very little information provided. When asked if there was a garage where we could come and go without paying each time, he indicated the location. This was misleading as we had to pay when exiting after 30 minutes. When asked why we had been misled, his colleague took over and said we needed a hotel pass and promptly gave us the pass and all the information about the hotel and facilities.

The carpet in the room was heavily stained in some areas. The paint on the walls was chipped off in some areas, revealing the wallpaper that had previously been painted over. Some of the hallways really smelled. The air conditioner fan made a terrible noise on and off on the second night but thankfully stopped when I the fan to low. I DID alert the front desk to this but by then I was checking out. But I see that it is soon to undergo renovations and I bet this will help these small problems

The location was GREAT! The staff was so kind, and accommodating. They really catered to the marathon crowd. The bed was super comfortable, and I ordered my own set of pillows.

The bathroom was not very big, but I imagine that if we had gotten the suite it would have been a better size.

The staff was great to us. Very helpful anytime we needed anything. The valet team was great, they made us feel cared for as they remembered our names each time we went down. The Block 23 staff was also great to us, very kind and quick with service. We had a great stay here!

We ate at the restaurant, which was apparently overwhelmed and understaffed, so service was extremely slow. The food was good when we finally got it, but would probably not choose to eat there again. The ice machine on our floor was out of ice and said needed sanitizing, so had to go to another floor for ice. The shower was out of shower gel, which I didn't discover until I was in the shower, and had to get out and find the small bar of facial soap. These were fairly minor things, but I would have expected better from this type of hotel. I would probably give it another try, but would find another place to eat.

The location was great--within a short walk to the Paycom Center where we were going for a basketball game. The room was nice and beds were comfortable.

Food ordered for breakfast was almost cold; not even luke warm; must have sit on the ready shelf too long. Could have got the same items off the buffet and they would have been much warmer.

The breakfast buffet was not the greatest. Have definitely had better there. Also, as a guest, I feel Like there should have been some sort of discount on the price of the buffet, but there was not. So for 4 of us to eat was $78, which was a bit much for the quality of the food. The waitress wasn’t very friendly and I get rushed while I was eating. We weren’t even finished eating and she was asking about how we wanted the ticket. No refills were given on drinks. She never checked to see how we were doing.

Stayed at this hotel many times. One of my favorite hotels. Price was good considering the events taking place.

The bathroom is not layout properly. The bacon in the breakfast (we paid for) is over cooked. The receptionist didn't know there is free water bottle in room.

The reception staff is not properly trained. Whole night there was noise like elevator moving.

Hotel was dated, needs to be remodeled. The price was too high for a dated smoky smelling room. However the room seemed clean. Valet kids were super. Check in clerks very unfriendly. The pool was small but clean.

I didn't like how the cleaning staff just walked in my room. 1st day she just walked in didn't knock 2nd day we was leaving the next cleaning staff knocked and just wall in at 9:40 check out time was not until 11.00
