How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was great. Breakfast was good, but we expected the full GREAT menu that the room promised, and it wasn't all there. As I said it was good, but not GREAT.

The rooms are ok, but outdated. Thr sofa in the room looked extremly old and worn out. The breakfast in the attached restaurant was not good at all. The keycards weren't working for the pool, spa and gym area and we had to go back and forth a couple times until we finally got new cards. The pool towels had to be picked up seperately and brought back before midnight - incl. signature in a specific sheet - kind of inconvienient In the gym some equipment was partially damaged and non funtioning or missing (5 weight handles were left from a set from 2.5 - 40 lbs) and it seemed that this situation wasn't new but present for quite some time. Also no water dispenser in the area.
The bed was comfortable and the check-in was quick and easy going.

Pool and hot tub should be available to use at later hrs since you’re to busy sightseeing and enjoying the lounge . We were asked to get out 15 minutes after getting in . Only complaint .
They view was awesome and it was cozy and comfortable . The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Lounge was a nice place to listen to live music and enjoy a cocktail .

The whole place could use some freshening up. There was worn carpet in the hallways and the restaurant/bar were quite stale feeling. Upon arrival, the desk clerk, seemed brand new and unsure of herself had to ask her partner for help checking us in. I'll reserve comment about her unprofessional tattooed, bare arms. The bar was very poorly stocked. The beer taps were out of service and the bottle selection was three brands that I would never drink. The breakfast buffet was OK, but lacked some pretty basic items. The eggs and hashbrowns were good, but there were no add-ins for the yogurt. We arrived about 20 minutes before the buffet closed, so things were pretty picked over. The parking lot was a minefield of potholes and debris.
The room was very nice, with a view of the waterway. It was quiet and well appointed. The whole place was pretty clean, including the balcony. Generally, it was a nice facility...really big.

The ice machine was broken on the 4th floor and in the hallway it smelled funny like old ..

Asking if the trash needed to go out, if we needed anything

The swimming pool still was closed, the breakfast was one of the worst one, the person there other than looking for missing things, more look like was watching people! the breakfast area was hot and not cleaned that much. the chairs on room patio never were cleaned and had a lot of spider web on them, so not usable!

Nothing major but after a long day I would have liked the ability to have room Service or ordered at the restaurant(s) and has to brought to our room.
The room was great, we have a beautiful balcony view, the live music and food was great.
