We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesWe stayed in a different location, just 2 blocks away and was a little disappointed that there was not a common area/lounge to sit and read a book, or an ice machine. We also could not figure out how to use the air conditioner, but opening the window was good enough. Again, not staying in the building that has the main desk was a little strange for us. Please be aware, when you book a room, you might not be staying in the main building where all the amenities are located.
The main hotel is nostalgic, and well thought out. Very nicely renovated. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices for all different tastes. The room was simple, pretty, and very roomy. We appreciated that the windows open for some fresh air. The locations we all downtown, offering easy access to shopping and eating.

United StatesAfter checking in, I requested a room with more natural light, but they only have 3 rooms with 2 queen beds. The others were occupied. They might consider adding a couple more 2-Queen rooms.
The location is very central for touring Kingston. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good in a nice space.

United StatesThe breakfast was not up to par for the price of the room. Was very surprised that it was essentially only cold food options and you make you own toast or bagels. The hard boiled eggs were only served cold.

United StatesThe parking situation was bad! We had to park approximately 5 blocks away and carry all our luggage and belongings to the main hotel, then another 2-3 blocks to 24 John Street. It was very inconvenient!
I really liked feeling like we had our own private residence/house at 24 John Street.

United StatesWe had no hot water in the shower and were unable to use it. We were not compensated for this. Check in is inconvenient and two blocks away. Had to wait 15 minutes to check in as no one was at the desk. No coffee maker in the room. No luggage rack. Three floor walk up no elevator.
The room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was well done.

Loved the modern yet comfortable decor, the bathroom was huge and stylish, campus of buildings was an interesting & fun layout, breakfast was much better than standard fare. And location can't be beat!

United Statesinsufficient staffing levels, had to wait 25min for a staff member to check us in. there’s a sign with telephone number on the front desk but when you call there is no answer and no voicemail. For approximately $350 per night, they need to do better on the customer service front.
Simple tastefully decorated rooms, great location, windows that open and top quality bed linens and towels.

United Statesprice too high for value. the plugs were weird - everything I plugged into the wall would fall out bc the plugs were loose. The tv just didn’t work and the snacks/drinks/water was never refreshed. there’s also no room service so. For this price, you’d expect to be able to at least plug things into the wall and have a tb that works.

United StatesThere were some cleanliness issues in the room. There was little communication when we arrived in terms of the amenities i.e. gym, common spaces. We had difficulties finding our room as it was in a different building and the check-in staff wasn't very helpful. The particular room itself was dark, few windows, and ours was located by the exit door so loud when people entered and exitted.
Beautifully designed and decorated spaces. The restaurant was excellent. Nice location.
