How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

the self- service approach only works when all information are available. couldn't find wifi password in our rooms, staff was not available, for non US- visitors who don't possess local telephone numbers, expecting them to call or text to get wifi password is not user-friendly. This was the case for wifi in the gym too. staff don't clean. support staffs are not available during the weekend. trying to reach to get clean towels, bedsheet etc was a huddle.
I love the hot chocolate station, the gym, sauna and overall facilities

I missed having a frying pan as I wanted to make some eggs and I sent a message regarding it but got no response.
Location was excellent. Clean. Stayed in a studio. Was very appropriate. Value for money.

Only 2 chairs for breakfast table, should have at least 4 chairs to seat on. On site parking is too expensive

The sheets were cheap and uncomfortable. The bed was basically one the floor rather than being in a proper frame. The sink in the bathroom had a draining issue. Overall, good value, but I might prefer a hotel room next time.
The cost of the accommodations was perfect. The location right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis was ideal and literally right across the street from my daughter's condo, so we had no problem visiting with family over the holiday. Unfortunately, the City of Minneapolis has issues with keeping the skyways open over holidays/weekends and that was a bummer, but otherwise a perfect location. I liked that it had a kitchen and that the room had laundry detergent available for use.

Could have had a couch instead of 2 single office style chairs to watch TV. Was very uncomfortable so we sat on the bed to watch TV, which also became uncomfortable after a while. Also was a little noisy outside.

Nice location in Downtown Minneapolis. The studio apartment is very nice and equipped with everything you need. The studio was clean and we really enjoyed the amenities (mainly the gym and the hot tub on the top floor).

- toiletries such as shower gel was awkward to use in the tamper proof holder - was unsure how to change the temperature of the room - didn’t need to because it was set at a very good level but wasn’t sure how to if needed. - access to lighting, found it a little difficult to turn off all lights at night

The apartment is very good , but the noise from outside in this area especially the ambulance during night time, bothers me.The windows need a thick blackout as the available one not prevent light totally from outside, especially during morning time.
The apartment is very good and everything is available and if you need anything they will provide it. The staff who are working online always provide assistance. It is in the centre and near from all you need.

My room is arranged too far away from elevator, didn’t provide a good location. Air conditioning in restroom is so loudly.

The only issue I had is troubles getting in. They sent few emails with instructions and I saved only the last one, which apparently did not have all the instructions, just the access codes. Anyway, that was sorted out. One more issue actually, the iron was not good enough.

We were four people and there was nowhere to sit together for breakfast and dinner. Frying pan was in bad shape but really minor things.
Clean. Everything needed in place for dishing, washing and starting kits to cook with olive oil, salt and pepper. Loved the gym and rooftop terrace!
