Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandOnly gripe was the ongoing road works outside the hotel - they can be noisy at times.
Great location for downtown St Paul, near bars, restaurants and stores. Bedroom was well proportioned with good facilities.

CanadaThe lobby coffee was not very good. I liked everything else about this place so had to think of something!
The location was a short walk from Xcel Center and within a minute walk to the green line train Metro. I loved that you just got a code and could go right in instead of a long check-in. The rooms were fantastic, walls we're a little thin, but lucky we didn't have noisy neighbors. There was a wonderful seating area on the main floor with comfy couches where you could just have a coffee.

Very simple self check in/out. The room is very clean, modern and has basically everything you need for a good stay. The location is perfectly located close to public transport and local attractions. I also feel safe walking around the area at night.

United StatesIt would be nice if there was more life in the immediate neighborhood. There is a good breakfast Cafe and also a grocery store within 2 blocks, and that's about it.
Nice room with very comfortable bed, well appointed kitchenette, and good shower.

United StatesI liked the ease of check-in and check-out. Our unit was immaculately clean. Loved having a full kitchen though we didn't utilize all of it. The balcony was spacious and the seating was comfortable.

United StatesNo pack and play or crib provided like hotels generally do. There was no parking option included despite the entire area being mostly parking garages and lots.
Location was convenient for our visit to St Paul, which mostly revolved around union depot. Having a kitchen was great for traveling with a little one.

United StatesSome of the construction was a bit slipshod; the cove base comes to mind. The last two nights, there was someone upstairs that either was a very loud stomper or the sounds dampening was just very bad.
We basically had a one bedroom 2 bath apartment for less than any other hotels I found. It was cozy and homey. The gym was huge and well-stocked. The common area and lobby were very nice. Having a full kitchen made eating simple and cheap.

I stayed in the king suite with 2 full bath and a balcony. The property is amazing. The main lobby is elegant. The front desk staff members are very friendly and professional. I was a bit hesitant on staying at this property given some of the negative reviews I read, but I'm glad I took a chance and made a reservation. I urge anyone looking to experience city life while visiting the St. Paul area to consider this property. You will not be disappointed.

United StatesYoung lady at reception said it was Okay to walk late evening. I'm a woman alone so I don't think that's good advice & I was called out to by a homeless man at 7pm in the evening which was scary.
So the Sonder was an awesome find! Just needed a quick 2 night stay in St Paul's & found this gem. Brand new building with mini lovely luxury style rooms. Mine had a super stylish microwave that I'd like in my home! ;-) The building is super quiet so I slept well. Shower had that stone vibe so its a cute bathroom. Staff is nice & friendly. You enter the building & your room with code so it's super safe. If I was in St Paul's again, this is where I would stay.

United StatesI didn't like the pre verification process. The first room we were given didn't have a privacy curtain. It was laying across a chair with 1/2 of a broken rod. We were given another room quickly.
The location was very appropriate for our attending a concert at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul.
