swimming pool - the water had a bad smell and taste. my son swallowed some water (he’s 8) and got out of the pool and vomited. my other son said he was close to vomiting because he’d gotten water in his mouth and it tasted rotten. only went to the pool one time. also breakfast was a little limited.

It is not that I didn't like it or bother us much but we feel it needs some refurbishing. Furniture is old and very worn. Doors are hard to open.

The double room is good, especially for the price. The hotel is clean and the staff is good.

The shower faucet was not connected to the wall, interior pipes were shown (see photos). When taking a shower I noticed that the water was shooting into a hole in the wall, where the faucet was supposed to be connected to. After I showered I went into the living room and a huge area on the opposite wall of the shower was soaking wet! I’m guessing mold damage will definitely be an issue in this room. My question is how long was it like this?!? When I went to let the staff know I was just told to wait for their maintenance guy to come once he was back from lunch. Mind you I had my toddler that I needed to try and keep out of that wet carpeted area. After I complained a second time to the staff I THEN got a new room. Prior though I was being dismissed by one of the staff members. We didn’t even get a discount for the crazy hastle. Breakfast items were also cold / Luke warm both days (esp the eggs and hashbrowns)

The front desk staff are vindictive and operate with absolutely zero accountability. My spouse and I are Northern California wildfire disaster survivors. We were staying here to gather what little remained of our past life from a storage locker 45 minutes away. This understandably emotional and trauma triggering setup caused us to be delayed in checking out. I contacted the front desk and Theresa agreed first to a late checkout of 1PM, and subsequently 1:30 PM without hesitation. When it became apparent that even 1:30 wasn’t going to quite cut it, Theresa got her manager Jennifer involved. Jennifer graciously called the police department and within minutes no less than seven of Sunnyvale’s Finest in 3 police cruisers rolled in with lights and sirens blaring to harass and even attempt to arrest my (black) spouse. To say that you his was an absurd and bewildering escalation of interaction would be a laughable understatement. instead of charging us for the extra time, Jennifer had the (new) customer experience in her heart. Instead of allowing us to quietly finish packing out and leave, she wanted the whole complex to be filled with fear while 7 Sunnyvale police officers har asassed and attempted to arrest my spouse. Jennifer took it upon herself to kindly inform the police that we were supposed to be out at 12 noon (implying being 1h45m late) . This was in stark contrast with the reality of being assured that 1:30 was okay (implying 15m later than expected). This indefensible escalation of response was undertaken without so much as a whisper to us. Now, both my spouse, myself, and our lovely pets are are traumatized from the experience. And! the front desk staff decided to just keep the entire$ 300 incidental charge.

The property is old and on its last legs. the best part about it is that it will be demolished one day.

The breakfast was sad. The hot water in the showers took a long time to get warm. The stove didn’t work well. There was no oven. There was only one frying pan. Didn’t like it being in an industrial area but we had a car.

Layout of the place good. Access to parking was good. The place was semi spacious.

I looked into the breakfast room at about 8.30 am. Obviously, I was too early as not even coffee was there.

The layout is great- no long hallways with stale air. The location is very convenient next to two freeways, but I did not hear any traffic noise.
