It didn’t necessarily bother us, but it was rather a surprise when we discovered a small cemetery directly across from the property! It was of no real disturbance, but it was definitely an unexpected surprise! Additionally, the deadbolt on the top of the door did not lock from the outside only the inside. But there was not much to say negatively about this property, or stay! We recommend it for an economical and valuable stay.

We appreciated the location of the property given how close it is to South Padre Island, and how convenient the location is in proximity to the stores in Port Isabel. The inside of the room had a large fridge with a freezer, which was great for stashing our late night frozen treats and fresh cut fruit! The room was very spacious, and very clean when we arrived. We were also able to reserve a room that was facing out towards a nice space of grass land and had an ocean view.

We didn’t like the cemetery literally right across the street. My sister was so spooked she had a nightmare and we left right at day break. We didn’t wait for check out time. It was also very noisy upstairs like all night. Sounded like kids running back and forth. The curtains didn’t cover the window all the way. My sister did see a couple of small roaches but that might have be from all the rain we got while we stayed there.The ocean view is not what I expected. You have to walk about a block to get to it then it was gated so no way to get into it. And your room has to be in the back for ocean view if not you get cemetery view :(

The location to South Padre Island was very good and it was easy to find the hotel. Check in and check out process was easy.It was very clean although it is an older building. Parking spot was right in front of the room or a few spaces away. They let us check in like 2 hours early and no extra charge 🙂

There were two small beetles in the bathroom. Didn’t like that. Other than that everything was fine. Enjoyed my stay.

I particularly liked the location across cemetery where mom, dad and brother are resting.

Since it was an older place with the doors on the outside, it needed a dead bolt inside the door. There were no bedside lamps, only a ceiling light. No paper cups or anything provided for the kitchenette.

Location was perfect for our needs. We just wanted to spend one night to watch a SpaceX launch. Walking distance to Joes Oyster Bar. Although we didn't use the pool, it looked nice. Manager was very friendly.

My husband would have liked to take his beverage in the pool area. It's understandable if you can't though.

I loved the pool, the room was great. As soon as we walked in it smelled so clean. Our bed and pillows felt so soft. I have stayed at Pearl South and other expensive hotels but this one I can honestly say was a hidden gem. Definitely will definitely be booking again soon!

The tv sucked. Customer service was horrible. There was mold and we got less than half a roll of toilet paper.

It’s not a 5 star establishment, but if your looking for a place to stay, i would Recommend it. Also, I didn’t see any roaches that weren’t outside and expected, since it’s by the bay, so that was a plus!!

It’s close to everything and in walking distance to many restaurants and shops by the lighthouse. It had a kitchenette and was very clean. It’s an older motel, but very nice for the price you pay. The pool is pretty big and they have a nice bbq area. I have an older black lab, and the room had plenty of space for her to lay in without being in the way. Way bigger than your average motel room.

When you pull up directly across from a cemetery and there is a table lamp without a shade in a brick flowerbed being used as a porch light, need I say more?
