Breakfast was just ok. The eggs and sausages were not served warm, but just at room temperature. There were no nonfat yogurt options or low-fat milk for cereal. There were apples, but no other fresh fruits available. Styrofoam (not even paper!) plates/cups are used, which are certainly not environmentally friendly.

Perfect location for exploring Indiana Dunes National Park. Comfortable bed, clean room, and adequate breakfast. Front reception staff is pleasant. Good value overall. Fantastic barbecue for dinner at Wagner’s Ribs in Porter.

The new ownership is lacking. When it was breakfast time, there was a "limit" on the amount of food you could take. One sausage and one egg seemed a little ridiculous. I wasn't going to eat all of the food, but the previous owners never placed on a limit, or posted signs, about how much food you could eat. That's a little ridiculous. Will give the owners another chance and see if they can get into the swing of things.

The room was very clean and the location is always convenient when visiting my daughter.

I room had a conjoining bedroom with the door that I did not know about and the door frame was a little broke on our side where it latched so even though the other door was locked, I didn’t feel completely safe. Lol

The breakfast was pretty standard hotel breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bagels, cereal, waffle making station, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, tea. The dining area was nice, well maintained, and had a patio area with a nice forest view.

The woman at the desk was not polite and was not very friendly or helpful in any given situation. when I asked for an extra blanket, she asked if I turned up the heat and was rude about it.

Inn was beautiful, all done in wood and antiques. Room was comfortable and we liked the sitting room at the end of the hall. Pizzeria Uno next door was great

Although the room was charming, it could use updates - window treatments, wallpaper was peeling in bathroom, a Keurig coffeemaker, more towels and washcloths.

The inn was charming and quaint. The breakfast was very good. The room was charming. The location was perfect for our needs.

We didn't have any complaints. The area was nice and quiet. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to Dunes State Park. At times, the people working at the front desk seemed new and like they didn't know what they were doing, but I suppose they were learning the ropes.

The breakfast was good. There were a lot of options from yogurt to hot waffles. The location was very convenient to Dunes State Park. It was quiet and easy to get to with a car. The price was reasonable for the location and quality of the room.

The smell in the room was different and everything seemed dark.

It is in a very nice, and peaceful location. The breakfast was good. It got crowded during breakfast, not everybody having a place to sit. The kids and I loved the pool and the sauna.

Room smelled of old cigarettes. There was a used washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod. Breakfast was to be served at 0700. At 0710, only cold food available. We had an appt at 0730 so we left w/o breakfast. That was one of the necessary options I wanted available for the hotel that I selected.

Location was very close to Indiana Dunes which is where we were spending the next day so location was very convenient.The building/grounds were nice. I love staying somewhere other than a chain. However, when balancing old vs new-you have to make up for the smell of cigarettes (30 years ago-most rooms smelled of tobacco), the deterioration in the building, etc. by stepping up in other areas. Certainly, room cleanliness & breakfast should be paramount.

The staff were wonderful. We needed to ship luggage for collection on arrival, which they willingly stored for us and their communication throughout was excellent. Beautiful surroundings.
