Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo complaints
We wanted something affordable within walking distance to the beach and shops. This served that purpose. Those complaining forget they didn't pay for top tier. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I recommend this property for those looking for the same affordable convenience, who aren't planning on spending all their time in the room. There was free coffee every morning and free laundry. All boxes checked.

United StatesI had to pay for the parking separately. The parking was 46 per night. It was a bit over budget for us.
We were three in family and there were three separate beds including sofa bed. I appreciate they accepted my request.

CanadaWe found out that we needed to pick up the key at reception a street over upon arrival at the condos (we were not informed before then), the kitchen was infested with ants, and we weren't provided enough sheets and towels for the three of us on the reservation. The beds weren't overly comfortable either and the pillows were thin.
The property seemed secure and there was plenty of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and etc provided. We also received plenty of extra towels (after asking for enough for all of us). The location is also only a 5-minute walk from Waikiki beach and very close to many restaurants. We also received 50% of the rate which made this stay more worth the price.

United KingdomThe location of the property in a very seedy area of Waikiki. The entire street was lined with homeless people sleeping on the street. The safety gate to the property did not work so felt very unsafe. Had to go and find the main reception area located on another street and building to check-in, if it wasn't for google on check-in procedure this could have been very painful.
The room was clean and tidy

United StatesThis place is utilitarian, not fancy at all. It's an old cinder block structure that has been painted over several times but never renovated or updated. It was clean and near the beach and did the trick.
The room was regularly cleaned. Very close to the beach and to food. The reception (located in a nearby motel) was very friendly and helpful.

The location is great in Waikiki. It is 5 min away from the beach. There is a big kitchen that I didn’t get to use much. It is a great apartment if you are staying for more than 3 days. The staff is friendly and they provide free towels for the beach.

AustraliaThe facilities were all just ok. Basic, and in need of a facelift. Beds were comfy, but in an awkward position with neither ceiling fan or air con near by. Air con seemed to cool the kitchen down, but sleeping was hot and humid. Maid service didnt exist unless you saw them and then and there and asked them to clean the room. Cutlery and utensils need proper cleaning or replacement. Price was good for area, but not the facilities.
The staff at the check in office were lovely! We arrived at around 9am, just wanting to leave our bags in storage, since our check in wasnt ubril 4pm. But our rooms had be cleaned, and they let us in right then and there! The location was excellent. A very short stroll to waikiki beach, right in the heart of restaurants such as cheesecake factory and cheeseburger in paradise. Wifi was free, unlimited and fast. Beach and bathroom towels available frequently.

United StatesDefinitely needs an upgrade in here !!! Honestly that’s my only complaint though . They need to add more lively decor and it’ll probably make it perfect honestly . Plus newer appliances . They all Worked but out of date and kinda cheap
The room was definitely a bit less than my expectations due to the photos posted online . But I actually Didn’t mind the place too much . Could use updating but really could not complain . Location was perfect and it was clean enough . Staff was nice . Not a fancy place by far but it still got the mission done . Worth the price if you’re not looking for a fancy resort type

United StatesNow for the bad. So let’s talk about price. I stayed at the condos that had the kitchen. The price was above what it should have been for the property. To be honest with parking added.. yes you have to pay for parking, which is true for majority of the hotels in Honolulu, it’s priced close to that of a resort hotel. Also with parking I was afraid to leave my spot I paid for because someone would take it. Crazy. There were no towels or wash clothes in my room. Also the A/C blow cold but was taxed with the size of the room which the size is a plus. Find the discounts and upgrade yourself to a nicer spot. If you do want to save roughly $200 for a week stay, then go for it.
First with the good. The location is within one block walk of Waikiki beach area. Also you are just half a block away from the main strip of shops and restaurants. Perfect location.

United StatesThe original room that was given to us had a clogged toilet and a missing tv remote control. When we told the receptionist about the problem, she said there wasn’t any more room available as “all” the rooms were occupied and no handyman was available, when in fact the rooms had been distributed to guests even though they have not arrived/checked in yet. On top of that, she and her manager wanted to displace us to a different hotel at a higher price and said they would neither pay for the difference nor would they do a courtesy booking as it was not their policy. We basically had to beg them to look for a way to accommodate us as one of our family members was disabled and looking for a hotel and dragging our luggage through the city was not at all feasible in such a short notice. After a heated argument, the manager gave the receptionist an ok to give us the room of one of the guests who have not checked in. The receptionist was unapologetic because “it wasn’t her fault.” Please note: customers know that certain issues may NOT be “your” fault personally, but you represent the company and just saying, “I apologize on behalf of the company” goes a long way in customer service. The manager did apologize & gave us the first night free of charge, a thermal bag full of Hawaiian goodies upon check out, and allowed us to check out late. So, family vacation didn’t start well, but it turned out well at the end. We love Honolulu. I would still stay at this hotel due to price and location even though my family would beg to differ… and hope really hard that management would check their rooms before they allocate them to their guests.
- Very close to the beach - Very close to tourist areas - Very close to the markets - Very close to the bus stops

United StatesThe room was not very clean. The floor was dirty and the counter had spots that were easily removed with a wet towel. I would like to add though that they did accommodate us for an early check in which may have been the reason the room was not fully cleaned. There was a full kitchen yet no table or chairs provided for the bar. Also... there are tiny little ants in the kitchen. They don't bother the food or anything... I think they are looking for water. But they can be annoying.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The staff is incredible. Everyone is always happy, respectful, helpful and welcoming. I liked having the coffee available as well as unlimited access to Beach supplies like towels and floats. The towels and linens were very clean and the bed was comfortable.
