How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The water pressure in the shower was low, but the temperature was great (I like hot, hot water).
The rooms were spacious, with very tall ceilings. We were there on a day they had “Social” and were treated to wine & loaded fries. Continental breakfast was delicious. Front desk staff were amazing!

The breakfast (complimentary), could have been better. The microwaved eggs, selections could be better. Better utensils etc.
Nice to have a comfortable suite with kitchen, living room, nice bathroom. Great price!

Not being able to stay longer/ not visiting sooner .
Went to see some family over Thanksgiving holiday. Stayed in Johnson City , centrally located where every one lives, also close to area we wanted to site see. Great location, awesome, friendly staff. The staff even had like a small Thanksgiving feast in the breakfast area. They also had a fountain drink machine on site in the breakfast area which was a first for us to have @ our hotel & also a huge PLUS .

Only thing would be $75 pet fee for a one night stay- & 4lb puppy. Other hotels charge $25 per night.
Dog friendly & enclosed back yard area. Great bfast. Two elevators. Fantastic big room with lounge area in room & kitchenette. Very clean. Very comfortable bed!

We had to wait for our room at check-in ever though it was ready. Our room wasn't cleaned and towels not changed. The front desk clerk had no clue why and couldn't explain it or make it right. It was obvious to us from our experience with other hotel chains that their personnel are in dire need of customer service training and how to dress appropriately.
Breakfast was okay. Room was nice and bed comfortable.

When we arrived the front desk lady was not friendly and did not act like she really wanted to help. It was difficult to get answers. No ice machines on the floors. And had to ask for ice which the same front desk lady was not happy to get us some.
Perfect location. Loved the suite so that we had the 2 rooms and a common area to be together.

There was very little left for breakfast on Sunday. It was a supplier issue, so totally understandable.
Hotel is clean and well taken care of. Close to everything we needed. Friendly and accomodating staff. Nice breakfast with lots of options. The suite size was amazing for a large family.

There was a lot of confusion about a block of rooms that were reserved. The paperwork to sign at checkin had the wrong rate. It was fixed in the system and was correct at checkout, but required too much follow up to make sure things were correct.

The front desk staff was not well trained, the man at the desk during check out appeared to be stoned. Even though the room was good , due to the desk staff I will not return.
The room was nice and comfortable. There were several areas where the walls needed to be cleaned

Didn't like the dogs were allowed in all the rooms! My mom who is a lung cancer survivor was with me, and I have to disinfect the room to get rid of the smell. It would be good for those who allergic to dogs to not have to stay in a room where they have been
