Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThere seemed to be many people who were there to “party”. The first night we had people going in and out in the room above us all night and through the morning. There were people playing music in their car until 5:15am. I went out to request they lower the volume in hopes they would be civilized and they simply turned it up once I was back in my room. I was in fear of worse reactions if I called the office. I was very fearful of the people I had seen and the person I spoke with, so I just tried to fall sleep. The next day I requested another room the front rest lady, sorry I didn’t get her name gave us a room close to the office and on a different side of the building. she and the person who originally checked us in were very friendly and helpful. Only other issue was there were 2 ice machines but one was broken. Needless to say 1 machine for 100 units and on a hot summer weekend, ice was hard to come by.
The rooms look like they have been remodeled. Lament wood flooring. fresh paint, upgraded sinks, shower.

My stay here has been very stressful due to being harassed through out the whole day from check out hours up until 10:30PM tonight, about a payment and confirmation proof I know for sure they have already received, but playing games like they didn't this whole entire day, because if they didn't receive it already I know their actions would have been more punishable then just calling annoying me on purpose!!!! And the confirmation I received from Booking.com clearly says payment received and approved. Not only that, but I even had to call and get a hold of upper management from motel 6 headquarters and the gentleman I spoke with said that he also sees approved payment on his computer system. He then said that he would recommend that I email the property myself with the confirmation proof of payment, so after he gave me the properties email information that's exactly what I did. I emailed the property of Motel 6 on 817 Navy Drive, Stockton, California myself...
