How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I could hear a dog yipping on our floor during the night.
Love the area the hotel is in. very quiet and away from traffic.

Rooms are very dark and need to be updated. Bathrooms are small with very little counter space.
Breakfast was typical of most hotels. Staff was friendly and kept the tables and counters very clean.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was NOT cleaned after our 1st night...so we had dirty sheets (due to a pop spill before bedtime on 1st night-the staff did bring us clean ones so we could change them ON the bed) laying in the floor & smelly food trash in the room from Tues night thru Thurs checkout.
Plenty of towels for 4 people in the room. Adequate breakfast included. Indoor/outdoor pool for kids. Close to Fairgrounds & several businesses (convenience, food & Walmart).

Hotel needs a re-model, the theme is good but things are outdated. The fitness room was terrible, an old treadmill and EFX machine and a few free weights.
Breakfast was good. We also like the indoor/outdoor pool. Location was convenient to Jester Park and the Trussell Bridge.

We had to move into three different rooms during our stay. First time the bathroom door was jamming. Second the bathroom sink was broke. Finally got to a room where we could finish out our stay. House keeping could do a little better job as far as hair in the tub toilet cleaning. But over all our 5 day stay went well
The pool area was neat. Indoor/outdoor pool. Lots of seating. Hot tub. The decor through the hotel was attractive. Room was cozy. Enough space. Not cramped.

hallways need some fresh air to get rid of the funky smell. housekeeping needs to do a better job, room was not vacuumed and a dirty towel was left in the bathroom behind the door.

The room looked nothing like the picture that is listed. It was still roomy and comfortable, just not as woodsy as the picture makes it look.
The facility was clean and the staff was great. The breakfast was back up and running with a good variety of food.

The look of the building was amazing, we had the jacuzzi room and it was the best. Breakfast was awsome in the morning and we even hit the pool up

Ants in room. Staff at night said an exterminator would come for next day never happened. Staff on days wanted to argue with us. On last day there when we went to leave we couldn’t find car in handicap space we packed in. We had our handicap tag clearly visible to anyone. When we finally got to towing place the tag was still visible. There is damage to our car that had none. There is ants in indoor pool area too. Had to ask for mor towels when we were in a family suite. This was a horrible experience. I will never stay at another Stoney Creek hotel. We are calling the head office, the ADA of DesMonies and filing a complaint. They also said they would give us 30 % off our bill and that only happened for one night even though we stayed two nights.
