Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesSo theirs a rehab center next door and homeless individuals right out front on the boardwalk. Which wasnt an major issue. The room lacked heat bevause the unit didnt work. Was accommodated with extra blankets and a portalable heater. Also, make sure you check the closets because when gatjering for checkbout i found a bigger portable heating unit in a side closet. Also, if theu accommodate with parking at one of the lots near by it would make the stay so much easier. But in overall i loved my vacation and the cottage.
I loved the location. Right on the water. Near shops and entertainment.

United StatesIt was a bit noisy but it’s on boardwalk and it’s an old building so some of that is to be expected. The maids also need to keep their things of cleaning out of the hallways!
Great location and rooms Felt like small studio you could live in which was nice.

MexicoThe staff was very friendly, the location and the bed was very comfortable.
There was pubic hair in the bath tub. But over all it was OK. Clean but not with the highest standards. There is not parking but it wasn't a problem. The sofa it wasn't comfortable, it it a little of problem to have a nice and restful night.

United StatesThe balcony was dirty, the knives weren't sharp at all, the shower drain clogged really fast, there was no working device for filling the tub for a bath without water draining, there was noise outside but that isn't really a problem having to do with Su Casa
We got a free room upgrade, we had a lot of cooking utensils and some dish soap and sponge for our dishes, a lot of space to store food, right next to the beach

United StatesNo parking situation was a little bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be it did say they do not have parking. And the room had a little bit of a stench to it I want to say maybe it was the drain in the kitchen but couldn't really pin point where I was coming from.
The location was great right in front of the beach. We got upgraded to a bigger room with full kitchen living room and a good size porch.

UkraineI would suggest to keep in the room couple of beach towels, all guests will appreciate it very much! Right in front of the hotel, on the ocean front walk there are a lot of homeless people living in their tents. Police is trying to persuade them to leave but seems like all their efforts are in vain. Hope they will go somewhere soon. Towels change would also be very appreciated.
We stayed for 4 nights, location is very good, restaurants and shops are just around the corner, Santa Monica pear is 20 min walk. Good for family because the room has one double bed behind the curtains and a sofa in other part of the room. Small kitchenette is also good for rather expensive L.A.living. Reception is not 24h, only during the working hours, but upon request the nice personnel is ready to stay longer to wait for you.

United StatesIt was really small, very very very loud, thin walls, lack of hotel amenities (no breakfast/vending/water), could hear everything going on in the restaurant next to the hotel that shared a wall, and overall it was over priced for the quality.
The room was clean, and decent amenities within the room. The location of the hotel was great, as it was on Venice beach but tucked away and felt safe .

Location was awesome! Housekeepers were awesome! A little confusing because I thought there was going to be a front desk person all night. We needed extra blankets but we couldn't get any because there was no one at front desk not a big problem just a little confused. Other than that the rooms were great

Australia- No receptionist upon arrival. Sign on desk prompts you to call a number which rung out after multiple attempts. - Took 20mins for receptionist to come down - We were told “system was down” and they had no idea who we were what we booked or to even know what room they could put us in. - Told us to try coming back later or look elsewhere. Asked if they could take our number to keep us posted. Didn’t even bother to write name down, clearly no intention to follow up. - When pressed for a clearer indication of accomodation status we were advised it’s been a mess since manager left 2 weeks ago. - Poor communication, lack of ownership and accountability. - Responses were extremely unprofessional. Told us they had no idea and no manager to fix the problem. Seemed relieved when we asked if we should look elsewhere. In my opinion Su Cass Hotel Venice Beach should NOT be advertising until they have reinstated a manager. Until then it is non-operational. We ended up spending the remainder of our only afternoon in LA finding alternate accomodation instead of experiencing and enjoying LA. Do not recommend. Also cost $45USD for separate parking, which would have been fine except for the fact that it was made completely redundant.
Good location near beach although lack of signage hard to find

United KingdomThere were many things that needed sorting out in the property, but the main problem was the parking, like others I thought I had booked accommodation with parking but there was none and I had to pay 45 dollars for 1 nights parking.
Venice beach was great and the property was located almost on the beach. It was a sweet little 2 bed cottage with a small garden
