The location was close to the Interstate, but the construction in the street made if just a little difficult to find where to turn in. i had to watch for traffic and find the entrance by myself.

I have liked every Baymont that I've stayed in. It just has that appeal for me.

This location did not live up to Wyndham's quality expectations. It was a Super 8 motel before the name change, so I need not explain more.

There is barely any parking, when i got to my door it was being held open with a washcloth and the smoke detector is covered with plastic. Theres some stains in ghe carpet and wear and tear on some furniture.

We wish the location were downtown, but that's not really their fault at this point. But for the price, this is a great spot to stay and was well worth the price.

The check in employee was great. We arrive very late (2:45 a.m.) but he wasn't bothered by that at all and had our room ready and checked in. (He had called us earlier during our drive in to check on us too!) A very pleasant fellow that made a long day not seem so bad.

Rooms need to be cleaned better. Hall ways need to have the carpet shampoo/cleaned. Need to have more hot options for breakfast.

We originally booked the reservation w/ Booking.com for $ 84.83 . However got there to check in and the hotel was dirty and the room had been smoked in. So we returned promptly to the front desk and advised her that we could not stay at this hotel as the room was dirty and smelled badly of smoke and also had a mildew smell as well. I have severe asthma and allergies so there was no water we could stay. So we promptly went back to the front desk and told her we won't be staying the night. She told us she processed the refund of $84.83 to the card used at the desk at check in but only after we called to ask why we see the charge on our card. However, now after a week and still no credits to our card.for booking.com or for the card she took at checkin. So two payments were made to this hotel and we never stayed at all. So we have been charged double to our card now. . Still waiting for both refunds to be credited. We are over a week out now and our card still has not been credited. Don't know why she double charged us additional $84.83 on our card through when she could see it was booked on booking.com as well ! Feels like they were not planning to refund us any money at all unless we call or stay on top of this!

Our A/C unit was broken and I had my 7 year old and 2 month old with us and it was hot, and we were in town for a dance competition, and getting ready and sleeping was misterable.

A little grungy. Broken light in hallway, chair in room could use a good cleaning, and the very bottom fitted mattress cover was dirty.

The room was not clean. It smelled like cat urine immediately when we walked into the room. Then when we turned off the light there were roaches crawling every where. They were crawling on the walls and on the nightstands. We left 2 hrs after getting in the room and checked out. Left a message there with the front desk , requesting a full refund as this was not acceptable accommodations. And I was charged $89 after we were quoted $66. I was told a manger would be in at 10am and would call me. I waited until 3pm and called and was told again the manger wasn’t in and would call me the next day. It’s is now nighttime and for the 2nd day I was told I would be contacted and have never heard from my family again.

Common areas dirty Garbages overflowing and outside of property had garbage TERRIBLE SMELL. Some rooms worse than others. Mine was stale smoke covered with air freshener. Exterior doors didn’t shut to stay secure. Done would let you in from parking lot. Very crowded room. Pillows were terribly. Bed was lumpy. Employee standing 3’ from front door smoking. He was standing next to a sign that said “no smoking within 25’ of the door”. One room in our travel group checked in to a room that had such a strong pungent odor, she had to move rooms. You could smell it from outside the room , with the door shut. Another family in our group, had to get a refund and leave it was so bad.

The computer was down so we were unable to checking, the desk assistant did not have that information, so she told us our card was denied many times. When we conferred with our card company they assured us we were Inwood standing. This took several minutes and held up other customers. After determining the problem they sent us to our room. The halls were dirty, the room smelled dirty, the stairs were dirty! Enough said. We couldn't stay here. The clerk was understanding and canceled immediately upon our request. This hotel did not meet the standard we had experienced the night before in Sturgess SD. Very disappointed in Baymont in Cedar Rapids!
