How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The area didn't have enough fast- food places, and shopping options.
The room was fine -no issues. The breakfast was quite convenient and the bus stop was located outside the hotel.

Paying $10 extra to park in the hotel parking lot
Inexpensive!! Just needed a place to crash after a concert downtown. Facility was a little outdated but clean and staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast menu could include more diverse food, I was hoping to see more but didn't. In addition, the ceiling of our first reserved room had a prominent black stain indicating a past significant leak. The rooms also lacked safe locks for putting your important stuff in. Also, there was no drinking water provided in the rooms. I could also smell liconite from the room in the first day we entered. On the first day we entered our room, I also noticed a distinct odor reminiscent of tobacco.
The location was good in a sense of being close to the downtown. The parking was also spacy and the staff were helpful.

I wish there was a thicker blanket or an extra blanket to use that can be stored in the closet.
We love the fact that it is within walking distance to Dodger stadium. Saves time and money by walking to the field. The parking can be chaotic at the stadium. Breakfast was good. I just wish there were a few more options; cereal, pastries, peanut butter, bacon or sausage.

There weren't many plugs in the room to charge the mobile devices but it's not a big issue. Breakfast is quite limited and basic but not bad.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff, location is also ok.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, the hotel told us that we had no reservation even though everything was confirmed by booking. The attendant said he couldn't do anything and that I should pay much more for the counter rate. It was a very annoying situation, it had never occurred to me on international trips.
The hotel is perfect.

The wifi signal was a bit weak and there were no outlets next to the bed, which was inconvenient to charge our phones.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was nice and helpful.

The Wi-Fi in room 318 was not so stable, I was dipping from 4 bars of Wi-Fi to 2 bars constantly. I couldn't facetime people that I know or upload videos properly.
Breakfest was great, the self service breakfest station with the make your own waffles was amazing. Mucho Gracias!

The room lights were very dim. No plug points near the bed to charge your phones. The breakfast was just for namesake. No direct entrance from the parking lot. Had to carry all my luggage from the front entrance

Breakfast should be improved, should add more sausage, ham, omelette
My room was cleaned up and changed room key code every day. Changing room code will make some one inconvenienced. But for us, we feel safe and highly appreciate.

Pillows felt like they were filled with rolled up socks. When we asked for different pillows, we were told they would be dropped off to our room. They never were. Room smelled very musty and smoky even though it was a non-smoking room.
Location is perfect for our needs. Staff was very friendly.

I liked the ashtray in the open air corridor outside the room because then my husband didn’t have to go down into the parking lot to smoke. I liked the view, The tv choices, the coffee and the truly friendly staff.

The breakfast. I know it's a "continental" breakfast, i.e. cereal, bread but I would have appreciated a hardboiled egg and some fresh fruit.
