The first floor of the hotel is in the basement and it smells bad. Our room was all the way in the back of the first floor hallway and the smell got worse as you walk down the hallway. The smell carried into the room. They try to cover up the smell with air fresheners but it just doesn’t work. The carpet and upholstery were stained and disgusting. The room was really dated. Worse than a motel. No elevator.

The common areas were okay. Breakfast was basic but they do have some hot food including a waffle maker.

We were placed in the basement that has not been renovated. It was "vintage" 1960s. The room smelled aweful. The pullout sofa bed was broken. The airbed that was brought in deflated halfway through the night. The TV got crap reception & was the old "box" style. It DEFINITELY did not match up with the nice pics online

    Close to the college

The room was not clean. There was a toothbrush holder left from the previous guest on the bathroom sink. There was pubic hair on the toilet and in the tub. Floors were not clean either. Soundproofing was nonexistent. Heard doors banging all night long.

Good price and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Comfy beds.

Honestly, nothing. Every employee was helpful, kind and polite. The beds were comfy, the shower water stayed hot and they checked with us daily to see if we need maid services. There was plenty of parking, the decor was update and it had all the amenities you’d expect and others you don’t.

The hotel service was excellent. The room was also very nice, especially for the price. And, they offered a real free breakfast with hot items like pancakes and waffles as well as a wide variety of other foods

My husband and I drove across the state and were planning on staying at this hotel. We booked the room days in advance and according to the website and the staff it’s a pet friendly hotel. We booked a king suit room and when we arrived, the front desk told us the new owners don’t allow pets in the suits, even though the website says it’s pet friendly. They said there was nothing they could do and cancelled our reservation. It’s 10pm on a holiday weekend and now we are trying to find a hotel room. If not all the rooms are pet friendly then DONT say they are. The staff was rude and not helpful at all.

I planned a family vacation to Richfield and booked a three night stay at the Ramada. Our stay was less than pleasant. For one- there was no mention of the remodeling work done when I booked with them. Or the fact that the pool and hot tub are closed. If I had known that the pool was closed before hand, I would not have stayed there because that was one of the attractions for us to stay there was to be able to swim at the end of the day. So that was very disappointing, especially because it felt like I was mislead to believe that the pool was open when it was not. Second- the whole hotel reeks of artificial/chemicaly smelling air freshener. I’m talking two air fresheners in the entryway, and multiple others throughout the lobby and hallways. Very unpleasant. Third- I was told beforehand that since we had dogs, we would be on a first floor room. This was not the case. They put us in a basement room that we had to walk up and down two flights of stairs whenever the dogs needed to go out. This was a big hassle and time consuming. Fourth- the breakfast was very disappointing. Old shriveled/dry fruit, cold water in the hot water dispenser, just not what most considered breakfast. Again, the claim of serving breakfast on their website was part of the reason I chose to stay here and was counting on having that as a resource. So that was pretty disappointing. Fifth- the room was not very clean and the dirty toilet seat was broken so that when I sat down, it almost fell off the toilet each time. It was a big problem every time the toilet was used. Sixth- the air conditioner in the room did not cool the room well and was extremely loud when running. I had it set at 70 degrees and the room never cooled down. This hotel stay was full of unpleasant surprises and was misrepresented on the website when I booked my stay. Had I know the reality of staying here I would have chosen to go elsewhere.

Felt like I was in an old castle with all the brick and OLD carpet. This place was definitely not a place I'd like to come back to. The guy that checked us in was great and very welcoming but late night staff would actually walk in the opposite direction when we came in the lobby, not even a hello/good evening.

How close it was to the freeway
