How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Kind of expensive for two days stay, but it was all worth it.
Breakfast, lots of sweet! Wished some scrambled eggs and bacons.

Swimming pool was tiny and next to the road so we didn’t use it, pictures made it look a lot bigger. Otherwise there was nothing to not like.
Room was very clean, staff very friendly and location was good for visiting the Warner Bros Studios. Free parking and complimentary tea,coffee and morning pastries was a great bonus.

The street is noisy. I didn't care but if you're an extremely light sleeper you might.

The A/C was noisy but nothing to bad. The room had a strange odour. Shower was lacking power.
The location was fantastic and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy. The free coffee and breakfast pastries were excellent.

The pool was under construction. If I knew this beforehand I would’ve stayed somewhere else. The hotel was great nonetheless.
Quiet location and safe to walk around. No loud music or vagrants in the area. The bed was super comfy.

Pool was closed while we were there -- which we did not know in advance.
Beds were very comfortable; room very clean and everything worked well. Although the motel was fully booked while we were there, it was very quiet and we heard no noise in our room. Parking was quite convenient. Breakfast was simple (muffins and pastries) but good. Room was nicely updated.

Hadn’t realised that the pool was being refurbished and closed so therefore were unable to use this.
Great location for Warner Bros and Universal. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and room spacious and clean.

It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room.
The location was very convenient and the staff were fantastic. There were several restaurants in walking distance. The room was very clean.

Was noisy at times at night. Tiny, thin, pillows where uncomfortable.
Location is great. Friendly reception. Rooms are large and adequate. Had adjoining rooms which is key for my family of four. Its a great launch point to Hollywood destinations.

Need more usb ports. I know it’s retro but cmon. Also the tv is ridiculous. I do t need anything big but no channel guide. I spent way too much time trying to find channels

Great location, staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is clean and comfortable. The only thing is the noise from upstairs if you're staying on the 1st floor. Other than that, we highly recommend

Room itself is ok, we stayed on the 1st floor so in the morning was awaken by other visitors who dragged their luggage passing by. The shower facility could be improved, the water did not go up perfectly after turning the switch.
Location is good if you fly to BUR/ plan to go to Universal, etc. It's nice that they offer free parking. They offer simple breakfast, got some pastries and hot coffee before starting a day. There are several restaurants nearby. Overall I'm satisfied with the C/P value.

They were renovating the pool area during my stay, but... The weather wasn't friendly for swimming, and they let me know about this in advance. So the negative point turned into a positive point for the staff.
It's even better now that they have dispensers for everything: shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash, and body moisturizer. It's a small detail, but they're much better than that old hotel-standard tiny products. 😅
