The walls were really thin, we could hear everything our neighbors said.

The room was nice and clean, with a great location.

The shower head was in need of replacement. The bathroom itself was very small. The bed was not comfortable.

The bathroom was very tight. The shower head was terrible. Granted , this is an old hotel. It was very clean. The staff was nice. The beds need to be updated. But the price was ok and the location was close to most everything.

The location was great with the proximity of the beach and local restaurants, room was nice and clean, parking was a little tight but other than that everything was fine.

Took a while for the hot water to come in and cable was not user-friendly.

We checked in on Wednesday and had to ask someone to come and vacuum. The shower by the pool wasn’t working so we couldn’t wash off before entering pool

I picked Tar Heel because they are pet friendly. We go everywhere with our girl. They are close to restaurants and across from the beach. Short drive to lighthouses and Jockey Ridge

The cleanliness could have been better. There was hair on the shower walls and the AC filter was on reset and had caked on dirt on it. Otherwise clean sheets and equipment in the room and the pool was very clean too.

Exactly what we needed for a pre vacation stay. The pool was great, location to the beach was great too. Check in and out was seemless and all done electronically. I can't rate the staff because we didn't see anyone but the cleaning ladies and they didn't touch our room because we were only there for 2 nights. I loved that their was a fridge, microwave and toaster oven. We saw a great sunset too from the parking lot of the motel.

I'm glad we were on the very end. It kept our room quiet. It's an older classic style motel so the walls aren't particularly thick (not sure there's much they can do about that) and I imagine if you were in a room between two loud groups it might be noisy.

Great location, clean, convenient for a quick overnight so we could head down to OBX the day before our rental house was open. Communication through text was good, it's nice to be able to check in online and have a code and not worry about arrival, etc. The higher price is definitely for the location for beach access which wasn't important to us since it was dark when we got there. If I'd through it through I'd probably have opted to stay farther away, but it was clean and cute and met our needs for the one night stop over.

It was a bit further out from central areas that we realised - you would definitely need to drive / uber to shops & restaurants

The location was amazing! The beach was right across the road. Our bathroom sink was not draining the first day, so we went the office and they had maintenance handle it right away!
