Location, location, location. This has been by far the best place we have ever stayed for a quick skiing adventure. Right in the middle of everything - bonus for us - great background music from the restaurant downstairs and urban noise from the foot traffic. Super yummy food from very friendly waitstaff and chefs. Very friendly chill hosts. Great advice on everything. Very cool app makes check in process super easy. I caused the place a small inconvenience - bad parking job with our monster rental car - the staff was super chill about. I apologize profusely :-). Highly recommend this place if one is going to stay in Breckenridge.

Around 6am each morning it sounded like chairs were being drug across the floor. I’m not sure if the noise was coming from the restaurant. At midnight we woke up to the smell of marijuana. Someone staying nearby must not have cared the units are supposed to be smoke free.

The management company never sent us our code to get into the room as they said they would. We had a bit of a delay (total of 25 minutes) trying to access the room. It took a bit to get in touch with someone and once we did the code they sent did not work. Luckily, we did not have somewhere to be right away, so it wasn't' too big a deal for us.

Gorgeous, sparkling clean accommodations. Great location. Wonderful restaurant and tavern.

That there was no main check in and that no one who worked on the property seemed able to give us clear direction regarding check in or what was going on with the room. Also for as much as you are paying it would be great to have the room cleaned. Having to request it is annoying whenever it feels like it should be standard for the rate of the room. Room was clean and sleek, loved the 2 sinks and how easy it was to walk from the hotel to the lifts and to the main part of town. Hotels food is exceptional as well.

Thermostat did not control the temperature of the room. I don’t know if the room’s HVAC is conjoined with an adjacent unit that was blasting heat, but my wife and I had trouble sleeping due to the uncomfortable room temp. Had to crack the porch door all night (where it was like 7 degrees out!).

Very minor inconvenience with parking a few times. No fault of the Carlin though, I chalk it up to the prime location. The host was very responsive and solved the problem.

Location was excellent. Everything was easy walking distance. And the room exceeded our expectations for comfort and cleanliness.

The Country Boy has a small balcony that overlooks the back parking lot. This is deceptive in the photos. We quickly realized we wanted a different suite due to the late night noise with the trash cans, the staff and the guests congregating in the parking lot under the open windows of the room because it was 77* in the room the entire stay. Opening the exterior door exposes the guest to a pretty intense smell that quite possibly was coming from a nearby vent in the roof. (It was intense a few times.) This was difficult because the door needed to be open to cool off the room due to the heat being on and we couldn’t turn it off at our digital thermostat. Despite these issues, we stayed in the room because the smell did dissipate in a few minutes.

The hotel is charming. The concept of the Inn being above the restaurant and tavern is quaint and inviting. The location is perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.

3 of us couldn’t work out how to use the shower so had to have a bath. The coffee pods didn’t produce coffee as the contents were rock hard.

Der parking was little tricky . You need register and we did for 24 hours but once you leave and come back you need do it again which no one tells you . Actually we got the info not to worry about but got 2 tickets . So be aware of that :)) Cleening - No problem for us but if you expect room be cleaned every night , that’s not the case. After you leave you pay 150$ one time for cleaning . Not sure if it’s different for longer stay. We spend 2 nights in the room.

Really nice bigger size room. I think was new ,all in wood and every detail match together! Love it ! .You don’t see this style very often in those mountain towns in small lodge or guest houses. They put really love in the look of the room and restaurant ! Comfortable bed , fridge and espresso mashing in room. Great restaurant for dinner. Great location ! Direct on Main Street. Personal in restaurant was excellent especially Tom and food was great ! There is also Taverna open for late dinner . Everyone was friendly and helpful .

There was nothing to dislike.

The Carlin Hotel just opened after an extensive remodel of the location. The room was absolutely beautiful and the balcony overlooking Main St had just enough trees to make it feel very private. We did not eat at the restaurant as I did not know that it had a sushi bar and extensive gluten free options when I booked the room. Yet, the chef spoke with us and was very helpful when we arrived. We did have drinks at the bar in the main restaurant and then at night in the underground bar with very friendly bartenders, a beautiful atmosphere and a manager that was very engaging and interested in our thoughts.

Locked out of room 3 times, coffee maker did not work, TV did not work the first night and staff called to fix it, and the vacuum was ran in room next door at 7:00 a.m. and woke me up on my first morning of vacation,. I was also given three parking tickets despite following directions to register my car and speaking to staff on site.

It was called a hotel but charged $150 cleaning fee, which I hadn’t realized until after I booked. Then, it was difficult to contact either the hotel or booking.com to try to negotiate an overall fee. Then I got a parking ticket, when the parking terms were also not clear.
