Breakfast credit: each day we heard a different story which stressed us out. Once they excluded tax other times we could order more. Breakfast included generally means we can just choose some food and leave satisfied. Here we couldn’t choose 3 hot meals without paying extra, not to mention hot drinks etc. After breakfast we straight had to head out for a cafe.

We loved the Size of the room, the modern bathroom, the view, the comfortable double beds. Receptionist was very helpful and efficient when we asked for a different room. Redwood Room is lovely, cocktails are great, waiters are awesome. Highly recommend.

Concierge Lauri knew we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We spent our wedding night at The Clift. She made everything perfect and fabulous, from upgrading us to a suite, delivering complimentary champaign and arranging for special treatment at the restaurant at which she made our dinner reservations.

Presence of homeless people around the area but that is not within the capacity of hotel personnel even though the personnel are well acquainted in dealing with homelessness issues.

A really fantastic hotel. It’s in a great location and the service was fantastic from all of the team. It felt safe and secure, and the team even provided drinks vouchers when they realised it was my birthday at check in. Would highly recommend. Very clean!

It was quite noisy during the nights as the hotel had organized events and we could sleep very well as the music was really loud.

We went to Sonesta twice. The second time the room was smaller and a bit less comfortable than the first one, but it was on a higher floor and the view was great.

Location is around tenderlion which has a 250% higher crime rate versus rest of USA. My understanding was that breakfast was included & it was communicated at check-in but it was not. Manager could have given us a complimentary breakfast as a goodwill gesture

the Bed was a bit uncomfortable because the side i slept on was lower than the right side.

we were on the 14th floor, we upgraded and were very happy with the room . the bed on the left side however was lower than the right side. other than that it was an amazing stay.

The only issue we experienced was our room ac was not working properly, but they were quick to bring us a fan.

The room was dusty especially the carpet and pull out sofa bed. The shower pressure wasn't very good and it was difficult to get the shower temperature correct.

The location was good, easy walking to all the attractions. The room decor was nice and modern and it was convenient having coffee machine, hairdryer and safe in the room. The gym had excellent equipment and the internet throughout the hotel was really good.

General issue of SF with homeless. Tenderloin is just next door....
