Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBreakfast was provided, had to collect from check in space, which was small. Only one microwave to reheat breakfast, this caused a long wait for some.

United StatesThe room had a door connecting door to the room next door, which clearly wasn't thick enough to block sound from conversations on the other side.
The location. We were there to ride the Durango Silverton scenic train, and the hotel was right next to the depot. It was also right in the historic district, so we could walk all over town.

United StatesThe water did not taste good. But there was a water dispenser in the office, so be sure to use that water.
The Durango Lodge is the PERFECT location if you are going to ride the Durango to Silverton railroad. It’s a short walk away.

United StatesRoom was fairly small but had all necessary furniture although the easy chair was wedged between the wall and bed. Fairly small shower.
The breakfast was spartan but had several protein items to choose from. Yogurt cereal, coffee, milk, prepackages sweet rolls, and toast. Small breakfast room which would have made it necessary to take breakfast in room. Desk person recommended a French bakery two blocks away with renowned eggs benedict with "home" fries which were cut French fries and delicious. I had it and it was unique and very tasty. My wife ate the quiche and croissant with fruit. (no potatoes) Really unique item in bathroom. Rags to be used to work on m/c, work on car, get dirty and nasty and then throw on floor to be cleaned and repackaged in zip lock bag. Was white and did not show any stains.

It is a Lodge nothing fancy but for the price you pay what more do you want or need , Because of the location directly on Main ave. we stayed another night to be able to see more of Durango and take the train to Cascade. There is coffee and small items for breakfast that you can take with you . The friendly and helpful staff can´t be beat. I would stay again

United StatesPet fee is $50 which is too much for such a hotel. It can be half of the price of the room. Many hotels charge $20 - $30 or nothing.

United StatesI get how some guests might crank up the heat too high and burn energy costs, and I like it cool, but the heat would not warm the room enough to be comfortable, let alone warm.
Nice quiet room with a good bed. Check in was efficient and friendly. Perfect location downtown.

United StatesThe only negative was the smell in the hall. I was very concerned when I first arrived because the hallway smelled old and musty. Fortunately the room did not.
Not much selection on the breakfast and eating in the "office" wasn't the best experience. You should just not offer "breakfast."

United StatesI booked the hotel because it said they had a continental breakfast. No fresh offerings, pop tarts and some wrapped bars. No beverages. Never took anything in the morning. Check in person was a bit different and put us in an unusual room in the basement. When we went back to front office and asked for a main level room with regular windows etc. He looked at me like I was crazy. He did however accommodate us.
Hotel is in excellent location to Train and Downtown shops. No need to move car from parking lot. Room was clean and basic, Construction of building behind, but luckily noise was not a problem, as we were out most of the day.
