Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNot a complaint, but we had to call down and ask for ice which was delivered promptly, but it would’ve been nice to go replenish it ourselves.
Excellent location close to my daughters apartment. Beautiful roof deck that we sat on and had a glass of wine because the weather was unusually warm. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThere were a couple of annoying things about the bathroom: the tap / faucet on the basin didn’t produce much water and also there was no extractor fan (or maybe it was broken) so it got very steamed up every time we used the shower.
Location is great for us. We have friends who live nearby so we want to be in the area.

BelgiumFor the price range, I would have really liked a coffee machine / something to boil water in the room. The room also didn’t have very good ventilation so showering makes the whole room rather damp.

United StatesThe hallway outside my door was a little noisy — a fan or some white noise would have been nice but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
I loved the whole experience! Great location, beautiful lobby, friendly staff, and the room was just perfect for me — quiet, cozy, and well designed! The small touches like the water pitcher, Duralex glasses, and DS & Durga products made it feel extra special.

CanadaThe interior queen room felt exceptionally small. I know this is New York City, but the size of the room was not well represented in the photos. The bed also felt smaller than a 'Queen', and in mine and my partner's opinion, the bed and pillows were way too squishy and soft... felt like we were both falling into the middle of it. Our stay felt 'affordable' for New York standards, but I am not sure if it was good value for the money considering how small and dark the room felt.
Very nicely designed. Very clean. Felt very safe. Great location. Nice communal spaces. Friendly staff.

New ZealandMy wife and I had an amazing time at The Moore. We needed a clear and quiet place to wind down, which was centrally located, and we're so glad we found this hotel. The staff were super helpful and accommodating to our needs/wants. Special shout-out to Serenity who was the first person we met. She caught wind of the fact that we had just gotten married and promptly gifted us a nice bottle of bubbly rosé accompanied by a sweet card on behalf of the staff. Unfortunately, we were too busy to enjoy their rooftop bar, so if we're ever looking for a place to stay in Chelsea, The Moore will be our first choice.

United KingdomThe room was small and dark; it was quite stylish in decor, with a decent size bathroom, nice shower, and good clothes storage, but there was not even a single chair, let alone a desk, and no kettle. No view - the window overlooked a wall. Soundproofing not great between rooms, and doors slammed, but the hotel was still quiet overall.
Friendly and helpful staff. Services available 24 hours. Very stylish lobby with comfortable seating. Tea / coffee / pastries and beer, wine, etc., available in lobby. The rooftop bar was excellent. The room had chic details, good toiletries and a robe.

AustraliaLike all NYC hotels, the rooms are tiny. The Moore uses its minimal space very well. Also it was very hot in the rooms but we were there at change of seasons so that probably accounted for it
Very cosy beautifully decorated room. Staff were great and 24 hr coffee & pastries at reception a pleasant surprise. So close to Penn Station and life in general. Highly recommend it.

CanadaThere was construction going on in the building next door which was distracting. I mentioned it to hotel staff and the manager, Grace, called me to apologize and provided an adjustment to my bill. I appreciated the quick response and the great customer service.
The location of The Moore was great. It was a 5 minute walk to the subway and it was easy to access other parts of the city from the hotel on foot. Hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. They always said hello and goodbye.
