Very small room, but that was to be expected.

Staff was great; I told them that my birthday was in two days, so they gave me a voucher for a free breakfast.

I really don't have anything to complain about. Perhaps only the fact that the room I was given was adjacent to the road, therefore it is noisy, especially in the morning.

The hotel is very nice and definitely clean. The food is also interesting, although the choice is limited. The service was very good as well. It is a nice place to stay, I would certainly go back.

The friendliness of the staff, the design of the hotel, and the food were all excellent. The price of the hotel was reasonable even though it was located in the center and had good facilities, and it even provided vouchers to order drinks and food for dinner and breakfast, which made me feel very satisfied. The quality of the food was also very good. Especially I would like to say thank you to Leslie who assisted us when we checked in. She made a very good impression already before we've got the room. All famous places were close to the hotel, and the subway and train station were right next to the hotel, so there was no need to use Uber like in other cities. The airport was also a 15-20 minute drive away. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, which is very clean and a short walk to many nice restaurants next to the sea.

Satisfactory to say the least, nothing more than that.

I did not like that there were huge dark spots on my bathroom floor that were not removed or wiped out by housekeeping. I did not like the fact that the QR code that they handed in a bookmark was meant to show the food menu (it did not, neither did the website show anything), and I did not like the fact that the morning coffee station was not obvious or labeled (a sandwich board facing the elevator would have sufficed). I hated the small cozy (very cramped) room and the premium prices that they attached to it. The coffee and drinks prices at the bar were also NYC prices, which is insane, even for a boutique hotel in San Diego. The destination fee was also stupid. It did not feel like a boutique hotel to say the least for these premium prices- but they are trying so hard to be one.

I liked that it was new and that the staff were friendly.

Good Value for the Money in an Expensive City

In general, things were quite good, so not much to complain about. There is no option to self-park, so if you have a car, you will have to use the value service, which is a bit costly. That said, the valet staff is nice and friendly.

The property is in a great location downtown, within walking distance of several nice areas. The staff is very friendly and the rooms, though a bit small, are comfortable. Given the high prices in San Diego, this place is a good value.

The cozy room was very small and bare-bones. It was comfy but the room didn't even include a table or chair for you to eat or set your stuff on. Bed, TV, small nightstand, and that's it besides the bathroom.

They upgraded my room, the staff was nice, and the daily $35 credit was handy if you didn't feel like leaving the hotel room. The food and drinks were also pretty good.

Would have liked some form of coffee maker in the room/mini fridge. Not many amenities other than a bed and a bathroom. There was also heavy rain and the our room began to leak in the morning, which forced us to move out of our room early. The leak slowly grew to 4 different spots along the window side of the room. They were accommodating for the most part about it, but it was disappointing. Thank god we did not have any valuables that got ruined.

Loved the design of the space and lobby in the historical building. The bar was a treat with high quality craft cocktails. Location was perfect for enjoying the city.

The only complaint we had was that the corner room (first world problems) we had was right on the corner of the street which was a bit on the loud side, but fortunately the hotel provide a sound machine on the nightstand which helped. If you are a decent sleeper, the noise wouldn't be an issue.

This boutique hotel was perfect and exactly what we needed for a stay in San Diego. The location in the Gaslamp quarter was perfect with easy access to restaurants as well as the Embarcadero. The staff was all friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. The room was perfectly appointed and had plenty of space. We were easily able to request a mini fridge and microwave which was incredibly helpful. The bonus items included in the destination fee were nice perks.
