One of the girls at the reception was not helpful at all with a problem I had with my train back to L.A., but then the night guy (dont remember his name) was super helpful. So, one was a dissapointment, but the other one did everything in his power to help me.

Windows of our room were very dirty and breakfast wasn't good (eggs Benedict). The price for the room was also not the lowest and had to pay for the parking.

Location is perfect - in the heart of San Diego. Hotel itself is pretty, room was comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

No refrigerator. Stayed on the second floor. Had to look for ice. Found that they only have 1 ice machine and it's on the 3rd floor. But overall the room itself made up for everything else.

It was very nice and clean. The room was everything we needed. overall would stay here again. The room was very modern for being a older building. Would definitely recommend.

Bar restaurant service was inconsistent, waitress took a 45 min break in the middle of dinner and left the bartender to manage the entire room full of people. Took 1 hr to get a simple meal. Valet service was suppose to be easy via text, but didn't work so had to get the front desk to help. Lots of street noise and in the middle of the night was irritating. Some homeless people camp out around the hotel.

Good location with self or valet parking. Nice little gym and easy access to the harbor front, Gaslamp, and Little Italy. Rooms are large and beds comfortable.

Only issue was the extraction fan right outside the bedroom widow which was very very loud and not muffled by the double glazing. Meant it was hard to sleep without war plugs.

The room was a suitable size with space saving features such as a hanger rack in lieu of a closet. The bathroom was well appointed with a large walk in shower. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning in the courtyard and evening drinks at the bar. The food was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The location was great for touring as it was walkable to the harbor, Little Italy, and the Gaslamp district.

The only thing that surprised me a bit was the size of my room. The apprentice room is quite small and I wasn’t expecting it. For one person traveling it was fine but there’s not a lot of space to move about.

Breakfast was great, location amazing and even the tickets to the art museum were a great touch. All the staff were super friendly too.
