Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rug in the room also seemed very old and the corner nearest the bathroom was peeling up quite a bit and was a tripping hazard The HVAC was SO loud, and was turning on and off constantly during the night

United StatesIt's a party hotel and very, very loud on the weekends. I was having dinner with my daughter and the woman at the table next to us passed out in her food. Elevator always packed with people heading to the rooftop restaurant. There were always people two-deep at the bar at night and DJs in the lobby in the middle of the day. If this is what you're going for, you'll love it. But we could have used a break from the shouting drunks.
The hotel is great looking, modern, and in a terrific location.

United StatesWe didn’t get to spend much time at the hotel as we had breakfast plans elsewhere. The lobby is beautiful, other patrons were very friendly, we knew about Lazybird and really wanted to go but were so tired by the time we got in. The room had everything you’d expect and was very clean. There were a few antiques to add to the atmosphere. We will definitely be back to celebrate anniversaries in the future!!

Very good location in Fulton Market / West Loop area with many restaurants, bars and shops around. Easy to jump on the L train to go downtown / lake area etc etc. Restaurant and bar in the hotel are also very nice

United StatesRooms are a little tight, but are very manageable, and well appointed. No work area either, but that is made up for by the lounge areas in the lobby where I love to work.
The Hoxton is one of my GO TO hotels when staying in Chicago and always has a great "Vibe." I absolutely love the lobby/restaurant area, especially when it is decorate for the holidays. So Cozy! Breakfast is always delicious at Cira and with healthy options too.
