How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Door unlocked through an app but we could only get it to work in one of our two rooms and had to make multiple attempts with multiple phones to get it open...and then it wouldn't lock when we left. There isn't a front desk but contacting help through the app was easy and physical key cards were left for us to use for the duration of our stay.
Booked two rooms without thinking to ask if they would be adjoining - they were, which was great because the individual rooms were small. They were very quick to respond when we needed assistance with key access

Easy App check in, parking close to rooms, in room microwave shower bathroom, tv, sitting area, lamps , dressers, towels and toiletries, trash , pool on-site but outdoor available limited times didn’t get to use

It was very clean, comfortable, and roomy. The lounge was incredibly clean and cozy. We liked the independent feel of the room as if it was a home away from home.

No ice melt or sanded driveway. Very Dangerous. I fell and the people next to us fell when exiting and entering the stairs to the room entrance was all ice all 3 nights. No salt or sand at all.

Actually, nothing I didnt like.
Wonderful location in the White Mtn & Presidential Mtn range area. Everything was brand new, clean, easy to check in to room, mattress slendid for a great night's sleep. Very nice. Good room layout

The virtual key, sometimes took long to work. But I didn’t have any problem.
If you are planning to hike, the location is perfect. Also, close to a lot of restaurants (15 min drive). The bedroom was comfortable and clean.

Location is fantastic, close to everything we wanted to do. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket. Our unit was renovated with all new furniture. The pool was awesome and we also swam in the Saco River directly behind the property. We liked that the smart tv automatically logs us out of our streaming apps.

River facing rooms aren't truly river facing 😞
No check-in, check-out, all done online. Excellent canbin like room, decent space and well organized. Perfect location for hiking, scenic drive, view. North Conway is 20 mins away where you can find gas, food, wine, shopping etc

My group plans on coming back again next year
Extremely clean, Easy to locate and beautiful settings . The people were friendly and the pool was beautiful. The kitchen was pristine. Price was reasonable and it was close to all attractions.

No staff on site (it seems) - not an issue per se but something to be aware of.
Great value for money. Very comfortable bed. Sparkling clean. Room was very small - but I'm putting it in the positive as pictures were very transparent and I appreciate the 2 queen+sofa option.

The road by the hotel could be a little busy but it was east to forget and there was lots of grounds to explore behind the property.
Very clean, spacious and modern rooms. The pool was heated and made a great fun addition to the trip. Wonderful location next to the river where you could swim and also nice grounds to picnic and let kids play. Boys the communal lounge area which was very relaxing with lots of space to enjoy tea / coffee and find out information about the area. The staff went out of their way to help. Perfectly located near to some very good restaurants and North Conway. I think the The Inn and more lives up to its title of definitely giving you than expected which made for a very happy family holiday.
